Kuman, the reason i kept purchasing is because i'm still building my entire japanese fleet. I dont have time to start assembling those that i've purchased yet cos very bz with work lately.

Well Jackygwh, its not that i dont want to assemble it, its just that my mind must be free. Or else the assembled model wont be nice. LoL ~
Btw, where's your location? Kuching ? I'm going to stop my purchase for a while until i assemble some of my ships first.

me also another loyal customer of HLJ...so far has ordered 3 times from HLJ, the shipment worked out great.... biggrin.gif

the rule of thumbs i learned or read from others:

never bought the same item more than 1
the total amount shouldnt exceed rm500 in one shipment
always choose SAL instead of EMS

the item i ordered before from HLJ:

Guyver 1 (rm14x was charge to my credit card, cheaper than local shops)
pinky street in town and pinky05 (forgot the pricing already)
gundam fix figuration 0022 (hard to find locally, not known the charges yet, estimated around rm160)

thats my 2cents experience from online order... tongue.gif

I'm just buying online for the 1st time & i need your opinions.
Which is better in reliability? EMS or SAL?
And if i were to pay by money order, is it more fussy?

thanks

of coz EMS is more secure. much faster also, can track like poslaju if go missing.

SAL took longer to arrive, cannot exceed 2KG per parcel. and the postman just drop off to u doorstep if no one at home like regular mail. no signature is needed. and if the parcel is missng during the postage it cannot be claimed. is a total loss.

but usually EMS rate cost double then SAL rate.

money order...not sure. if buy from hlj why dun try paypal coz u only need debit card to use paypal. not necessary credit card.

Hey guys, I really need ur help. i'm planning to buy a katana online. Yap, the sword (real thing, not those that u can find in toyrus). I'm worried that the customs will confiscate it. Any ideas on how to purchase this online? Any procedures I need to follow up in order to get it. Is there anything else i need to worry besides customs?

Dont ever think of getiing it in the first place. Dont say a real sword, even the collection of Lira coins (French currency coins I think) that my penpal sent to me were confiscated by them. Reason why? The dumbest answer I've ever heard - the metal objects are dangerous

I trying to refer to DC and XL how they manage to bring in PORN figurines through their shipment. To bring in individually is not recommended and amazingly they managed to.
I usually will ask some of my friends (ladies) when they are in Japan or HK to bring me back some of the PORN figurines by hiding them in their baggage (undergarments). Usually will pass the customs as they do not mess (touch) these personal items laugh.gif

LoL~ So many people wanna tumpang buy......
Later if ffk, then the bearer susah......
I think Hobby HQ in Plaza Ampang does custom orders but of cos you need to wait for a period of time. They are more specialized with Hasegawa's model.
Anyway, other brands is not an issue as well if you order through them. The drawback is that, their prices are much higher than ordering through the internet.

I've ordered a Nitro RC car from US for over RM1000, and have to pick up myself at Butterworth from custom. Fortunately didn't have to pay tax, just have to pay a small processing fee. Actually, it's my dad who always picks up items from custom. I think he knows the person that's in charge of custom. I used to always order items onine from overseas. For big items, I usually have to pick up myself, but small items alway arrived at my doorstep.

Hey guys, base on what i've understand in this thread, the models ordered from hlj wouldn't be taxed by the customs unless i order bulk right?? what do u guys mean by bulk. If i order more than 3 models, is it consider as bulk?

Yeah, the customs will not tax you unless u bring it in bulk. Bulk means u bring in in large volumes. For instance, 10 boxes. 3 models isnt considered a bulk. To be precise, i think better not bring in more than 5. That's why i always purchase the max 3 items at one time.
