me also another loyal customer of HLJ...so far has ordered 3 times from HLJ, the shipment worked out great.... biggrin.gif

the rule of thumbs i learned or read from others:

never bought the same item more than 1
the total amount shouldnt exceed rm500 in one shipment
always choose SAL instead of EMS

the item i ordered before from HLJ:

Guyver 1 (rm14x was charge to my credit card, cheaper than local shops)
pinky street in town and pinky05 (forgot the pricing already)
gundam fix figuration 0022 (hard to find locally, not known the charges yet, estimated around rm160)

thats my 2cents experience from online order... tongue.gif

OMG.. in this case i will be getting taxes for sure this time..  cry.gif

I'm using SAL for PG Strike and Skygrasper.. should be a big parcel.. and is around 24,000 yen..  cry.gif

Meaning the tax i need to pay is the overall prices for my goods plus 15% of it right?! sweat.gif  doh.gif
*
u better worry abt the package will be missing or not before the tax problem? this is the risk for those who took SAL....me also choose SAL all the time, so far so good..touch wood laugh.gif

so where the custom office? mine is beside the lcc klia. i got tax rm32 for RM300 figurine from HLJ but it is up to you to argue as below RM500 supposed to be tax free.
*
thanks for the info sharing, now only i know that below rm500 suppose to be not taxable...so how they managed to tax rm32 against ur rm300 order? u got order the same item more than 2 pcs?

well last month i went there and i saw that a board written anything above RM200 is taxable so it depend on the customs's mood.

for toys/figure, the tax is 10 percent + 5 percent on the total amount plus shipment.

btw do you used EMS because all my taxes came from using EMS.
*
oic, thanks bro for the info sharing smile.gif
i always used SAL, this is the fifth times order from HLJ, the previous fourth times all went well sad.gif

stupid HLJ order option....they thought to save the shipping cost for me and keep waiting for my preorder items to come in stock within 2 months first then only send out the shipment... rclxub.gif

according to ur tax calculation, i think the tax i hv to pay is around rm65..

oh one more question, the shipping cost is included? i mean do i hv to pay the 15% tax on the shipping cost?

fyi, my total cost of toys is 12200yen, shipping is 1220(SAL), so in total is 13420yen..

thanks man smile.gif

ok guys, i just came back from the Big damn Post Office of KLIA, in case you dont know how to get there, once u reached KLIA area, just follow the signboard of "Terminal LCC" or "Cargo", both lead u to the same place, hv to drive a bit though to reach there, then the big Post Office is easy to spot.

stop at the guard house, leave ur IC there and get a visitor pass, then drive ur car in and park at the "pelawat" parking lot, go into the row of counter and straight to counter 1(num printed in red), show the letter "tahanan" u got it earlier and get ur parcel.....later he will guide u where to go and pay, basically just go to counter by counter to check, and pay the tax....after paid the tax then get back the pass from counter 1 and go back.
throw back the pass to the guard and get ur IC back....and safe journey back to home, to me is back to office just now... flex.gif

according to the office who calculated how much i hv to pay, he told me that anything also they can tax, even sometimes tax u 10bucks u also hv to go there, although there is a small notice board told that some goods below rm200 is entitled to tax free, but again depends on whether they want to call u there and tax u...

a strange thing he told me, EMS shipment below rm200 got exemption, but if u get called by them u still hv to go there to fill up a stupid declaration form to get the tax free exemption...sigh..#$%^&*
for normal shipment, anything on any amount also they can tax u...

good luck... icon_rolleyes.gif

The Invoice is attached outside the box boh! tongue.gif  So no need to print out boh.. whistling.gif

At least this my case lar.. i purchase from HLJ also..  thumbup.gif

u r rite bro....i was the one trying to be smart but actually extremely stupid at the end, cause i just went to double check the HLJ box, got printed the total cost of products on the box too BUT excluded the shipping cost.... cry.gif
so the point here is, pls keep ur invoice(email or fax) inside ur car just in case needed and get the Customs office to read the total cost which printed on the HLJ box....in my case i can save to pay the 15% tax of 1220yen rclxub.gif

No offense bro,  my area here the local post office custom charge me RM78.00 for PG Strike Gundam and Skygrasper. One big box.. i think it's kind of no standard tax charge in malaysia.  blush.gif

I think mostly depends on the custom officer on duty lol.. sweat.gif  if you're lucky then you get charge a bit lor.. if not ler.. SHIT lor.. shocking.gif

Note: PG Strike Gundam -- 14,000 Yen
        PG Skygrasper -- 5,000 Yen
*
no worries bro...just info sharing only smile.gif
i still think that there will be some kind of guideline, but i was told by the office is 15% tax for toys, before i went there i also called them up to find out the tax too, the same was told, 5%+10%(forgot wat tax), but in total still 15% tax.

300 (if not mistaken) ringgit or above are applicable to 15% tax (5% import + 10% sales), however, sometimes they will pick on the size of the box, bigger size boxes are easier to get stopped by the custom~
*
last month i went there and saw a printed notice beside the collection counter, stated that goods below RM200 may not be taxed, but again it is up to the officer, if the luck is not on ur side, even RM10 tax also u hv to go all the way there to pay, this was told by the officer vmad.gif

agree with u, bigger box is easier to grab the officer attention mad.gif

Then what about EMS??

RM200 also??

Coz I called the Pegarah Kastam..they say if use EMS and total charges below RM500..cannot kena tax eh..

I wanna clarify this..thanks
*
hi bro, i guess is my mistake from my earlier reply, sorry for causing the confusion, the tax free amount for EMS is below RM500...but then the next thing i mentioned is true, they may call u to go there to fill up the tax free declaration form for EMS shipment.....last but not least, the officers there still can override the rules which has been set.

those SAL below RM200 and EMS below RM500 is just a guideline for reference.
