I see people also putting big big card on the detachable flash,
the card even bigger than, or more attractive than the camera laugh.gif

But one thing, do you always bring the card whenever you go ?
or do you always mount the ext. flash ?

Can just use a rubber band and any credit card will do and strap to the flash. Most people do this. After use, just keep the flash and rubber band in your wallet. Maybe some NEX 3, 5, 5N or C3 user can try with their detachable flash. biggrin.gif

Just sharing some shots (for my item sale in Garage Sales laugh.gif) taken with NEX-F3. Photos slightly edited in Aperture. All photos taken using built-in flash bounced direct to ceiling. biggrin.gif

You sure can. 5N and F3 are the only supported models for the EVF. biggrin.gif

For portrait, you should consider the best NEX lens available, the Zeiss 24mm. brows.gif
If budget is limited, the 18-55mm OSS takes decent shots too as you can see from my pictures above.
If you are like me and into travel / landscape / interior / group photos, get the 16mm F2.8 and the VCL-ECU1 ultra-wide adapter. It converters your 16mm into a 12mm ultra-wide lens. rclxm9.gif
Perhaps you can get the NEX-F3D first, then see how it fits your photographic style and upgrade accordingly. biggrin.gif

The optical viewfinder should have no problem with the F3. But I find it quite useless as it is basically just a mini-telescope of some sort.

If you really want a proper viewfinder and because the EVF is very expensive, best to go straight for the NEX-7 that has built-in EVF.

The SEL55210 is good if you like sports, event and wildlife photography. And for these kinds of scenes, best to use a proper DSLR, IMHO. biggrin.gif

For portraits, you should try SEL 50 OSS... 75mm angle of view at wide open f1.8
For scenery, Sigma 19mm is a good option....
I'm using these 2 lenses for NEX 7 if I want to go light...
My other lens is 18-200

Thanks

So after a research; now i know the interchangeable lenses are not limited to sony made emount lenses.

well, sigma is part of it

any other brand that could fit in it?

I'm a 'duno' in camera..starting look for a better cam after frequent travel

Would you rather get the additional 16mm pancake or SEL50F18 if you can only get either one? 16mm is of course cheaper with the twin lens package. I shoot equal amount of landscapes and portraits.

Since they both are totally different lens, I suggest to get both.

hi all, i've been doing reading on the NEX 5N and noticed the extremely good performance in low light/high ISO. Can I ask existing NEX 5N users here, how often do you really need to use flash indoors with the 1855 lens, if you set the ISO to say 3200? anyone got sample photos taken indoor/low light at ISO3200 without flash?

thanks!!

Seek for advise again wink.gif

Recently dilemma while choosing the next lens for my nex5n after the kit lens.

Wondering should I wait for SEL50 or get SEL55210 for my next lens, as per review, SEL55210 could play good role in portrait beside of animal, sport shooting as well.
