NEX5nD seems to have no stock anywhere.... :/

Most no stock for NEX-5ND. I just bought NEX-5NK Harvey Norman Midvalley for RM2199. Going to explore mine

I have a NEX-5D and I like taking videos. Was just wondering if anyone's been able to make a DIY steadicam/stabilizer whatnot like the video below:

Went to like 5 hardware shops around Jusco AU2, Setiawangsa, Permata, Melawati area this afternoon but can't find the gimball (whatever its called) part for the handle: Traxxas 1651. I think its called a U-joint or something...

Basically should work like a rm2k merlin stabilizer but should be under USD15.

It'll be good if can tell me where to buy the items especially the gimball part. That's the most hard-to-find thing in Malaysia I think..

Parts from the video:
Two 3/4" x90 Electric Metallic tubing
For the imbal you need Traxxas 1651
For the handle:
1/2 inch Female
pvc
adapter with 1 skateboard bearing
and 1 piece of pvc pipe for handle
One screw driver and Drill. Also, plenty of washers for counter wight and two 1/4 inch hex bolt, one 5/16 inch hex bolt.

Amazingly, focusing using peaking is a breeze, even with f1.4 razor thin dof. Last 2 pictures were shot with 1.4. =D

hey , anyone can tell me where I can buy a Sony Nex-3 with pancake lens ? I've search the garage sales but with no success at all . And , anyone know the current price for nex-3 is how much ? Nex-3 not Nex-C3 , okay .

For native E-mount lenses, that's the only 2. Both priced above RM2k with Sony being more expensive...

SEL18200 now retail at RM2999. best street price should be around RM2699.
even with the high price, there are not many shops will carry this stock, so it will be quite limited.
I think now nowhere can get below RM2k since this is not those ciplak kit lens.

I was noticed this issue too, especially when you on your HDR mode and 10FPS continuous shooting.

Really? My local Sony Centre have 2 units in stock, and best price he can give me is 2600.

I tink I read somewhere in manual, the heating of NEX5N when switch on for sometime IS NORMAL & not to be worry

Go to SEL18200 (Sony lens) that is superb lens. Currently I'm using it with my NEX-7.

Note: Camera is a "technology" it change every year. But Lens is a"legacy" it can use forever....

Still no stocks for NEX-5ND? Luckily i didn't wait and got myself a 5NK instead. =_='
