do u drive everyday or only weekends? do u park under the sun everyday?
Weekday: Seldom drive or very short distant for ta bao only.
Weekend: Friday, Sat, Sunday drive up to almost 100KM

do u park under the sun everyday?
No park under the sun. park under cover car park.

when drive do u stop at many places and off engine and on many times?
Nope, seldom on off when driving at weekend. around 3 or 4 times(Maximum) stop when went out for whole day.

I'm not sure whether is this correct. Maybe other members can confirm this. To my experience, seldom drive the car like only drive 2 or 3 times in a week, eventually the petrol will drain out. When I did not drive for a week, my car did not reach the usual KM that I usually get.

By ON and OFF engine too many times, and park under the sun for long period of time like for a week or so, also will drain off the petrol. Since you are not facing this, so dont bother.

Haiz... i was my Insight send to honda service center(PJ Sec 13 - Auto Sumber Edaran).. according to them
that is normal.

I am so disappointed with them, I expect Hybrid can go for more than normal non hybrid car... but who know.. it look about the same only.

Any suggestion?  Anything that i can do?

Please advise.

Thanks ya.

My fuel mileage is about the same as yours. Most of the time is below 500km for full tank. I'm able to hit above 500 if only I drive very slow and always keep the odometer green. To hit 600km, I am not sure how other member can achieve that, unless they always keep the odometer green.

To drive to hit above 500km will allow many cars to cut my queue and some car will honk at you or stare at you when they overtake you ... haha.

Ya .. is not easy.. especially when you are in city areas where there is frequent jam/ traffic lights. For those able to hit 600km, for sure that they did not stuck in a heavy traffic jam, have make sure that their tires pressure is correct and have maintain a smooth driving for that tank of petrol.

Its time to look at the Prius or the Prius C. Just normal driving can easily get 20km/l. That is the difference between Hybrid Synergy Drive vs IMA. Not here to flame, but that is the facts.

Yes, even asked them to reset the ECU but they say your car is okay, no need to reset ECU.
Also I noticed if I pump BHP is much more saving than Shell and Petronas. Shell drain faster...based on my test.

FYI, Last week I hit Check EMISSION System in the information panel. I got panic and stop the car to read the manual and told myself new car also give so many problem &*^^%*^$*. I off and on engine few times also giving the same warning message.

I drove home and do some search online and found out that I did not tighten the fuel cap. It must have at least 3 sound clicks to get it tighten if not air will go in (i am not sure). After reading that I quickly go open the fuel cap and tighten it with 4 clicks and when I open it I can feel a lot of gas coming out and the petrol smell is strong.

After tighten it the warning message gone, I am not sure, if this contribute to my bad fuel consumption. Will see if my fuel consumption is better after tighten the fuel cap because normally i just tighten it with 1 or 2 clicks sound.

all these comes down on budget and size. if prius c has the size of insight, definitely i get prius c.
to be honest, if prius (normal prius) price is similar to insight rather than 140k, definitely i get prius.

ofcoz we know Hybrid Synergy Drive better than ima,
is the budget and the needs of car space to be consider.
