Switch ON means, till you can see all the lights on your dashboard, (yunno, the usual engine check, srs, oil check, etc etc).
If you did step 5, and didn't see BOTH your indicator/signal lights light up, then you've entered your PIN wrongly/or didn't pressed correctly on the digits. Trick to do it is to do it with the flow, have a right tempo. Between digits, try not to hesitate on the number of clicks u need to do.
if the number is 4, u MUST see the control panel red light 4x while u pressing it (IF you didn't see 4x red light while pressing, reset it (by going back to step 4) and do again). then pause to wait for a 1 second red light (that shows that the system has identified the digit), then immediately go for the second digit. do the same , wait for the 1 second red light, then immediately go to the next digit.
Thanks gadgets2us
yes u are right. must really follow the flow while pressing the codes. Thanks allot it works...and great info.
Thanks for sharing...really save us allot....

my goodness Prius C is so freaking ugly. Look at the cheap material dashboard and design. Looks so cheap.....and is super small.... and for 1.5 horse power is so low. Even insight 1.3 horse power is better..... yiak.!!!!
according to SA, price will be remain the same.. but for new FL, no discount... i'm will getting my 2011 since have 4k discount... in 1 weeks time.. maybe next week will be joining u guys...
You should have chose the 2012 facelift model. Reason: 1 improved fuel efficient. Has been retuned to get more and better fuel efficient. 2 new setup and retuned of suspension. With more comfort ride. 3 new bumper with day running light. 4 wider rear screen since 2011 model ppl keep complaining too small. 5 build in radio antenna and many more.
2011 model we have now does not comes with boot light, steering leather wrap, blue tooth. Who know the 2012 facelift version we getting comes with these goodies. Change ur booking and get 2012 model if is not too late.

yes, at first i would like to wait for the 2012 FL, but reconsider back...
1. FC btw both model, is slightly small diff only... it also depends how u drive your car. 2. suspension i cannot comment.. but can live with it.. has been used with 1996 civic standard so no problem.. 3. new bumper but, still i prefer the 2011 bumper.. 4. wider screen only by lowering the rest seat only, not expanding the rear screen or the wiper bar.. still the same if u have rear passenger blocking center mirror.. 5. build in radio antenna, not a big issue for me
for 2012, i like the grill with LED... might upgrade that later.. uhuhu
btw, for a discount 4k/5k, i can accept all that u have listed out for 2012 model...
peace
GT5 - Gran Turismo 5 - Honda Insight '09
Wow. Ok as long u are happy. Forgot to mention. Your car will be 1 year older. Second hand value drop by one year. Anyway I guess u dont bother about that either. We all have our differences.
So Honda Malaysia still stick with 2 airbags for 2012 facelift model???
Honda want to focus on their cheapest hybrid car below 100k. So yeah I guess the new 2012 insight we are getting should be only 2 front airbags.
Was told by Honda SA. they won't be bringing in1.5 insight anytime soon. I'm assuming they don't want to kill the crz market. Now 1.3 insight Is RM99.800 and crz is rm115.00. So how much should they put for 1.5 insight if they really bring in?
As for 1.3 insight version. If I recall correctly when visited honda.co.jp website. They have 3 versions with different specs and our insight been exported to Malaysia is a different specs from the 3 versions they have.
Facelift is nice. But still i believe some of us still prefer the 2011 face especially the front bumper. 2011 model have nicer fog lamps which integrate just nice with the bumper. Rear, some would like that chrome bar, some prefer the simple layout of 2011 model.
The Jazz comes with paddle shifter huh? Nice extra! Honda, please tell us it also comes with 6-7 airbags.
yup like the 2011 bumper....but i like the 2012 day running lights..... like 2012 tail light though...but dislike the rear chrome line hope 2012 version we get, dun come with leather steering and boot light and blue tooth....if not i lagi jealous...
What if, the 2012 Insight also got paddle shift? And more airbags? I feel u bro. However i wont miss it. From my experience, having paddle shift on CVT was not that fun. I still can feel the engine over revving and u cant accurately shift like u do in manual. Try Lancer/ Inspira and u'll notice that. However its a nice (heart aching) extra
Don't mind about paddle shift. No point to have that with cvt. 7 airbags well. Don't think it will come with it. Since HM want to remain below 100k for insight

Appearance aside, the aerodynamics of the car have also been improved, reducing the running resistance and thus resulting in better fuel economy. The 1.3 litre IMA system – with 88 PS and 121 Nm from the engine and 14 PS and 78 Nm from the motor – gets some powertrain efficiency improvements. Revisions to the CVT and mill, the latter in the form of reduced engine friction, as well as alterations to the air conditioning system, all do their bit to contribute to lower fuel consumption. The Insight also features a quieter ride, with the inclusion of added noise insulation materials for better NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) performance. Meanwhile, the seats are now upholstered with a new fabric, and rear passengers now enjoy an extra head clearance of 15mm, following adjustments to the shape of the roof lining and the hip point of the rear seats.
Aiya. Kinda sad for my 2011

just got my insight today.. sadly, already got scratch at door step.. need to re-paint back during 1k service..
Didn't u check before u collected your or before u sign? Actually the SA will invite u to come and show u your car before he or she register your car. Once u check your car everything is ok. Then only he will proceed to register your car and within 2 or 3 day your is ready for collection.
What is your car mileage when u collect? Usually is from 10-60 mileage. If is 100 above is not advisable to accept it.

Just got my new car on Saturday. 1st day using it for a longer distance to work this morning. However am still not very used to the auto stop function, expecially during the period of congested traffic (sigh...the morning kl rush hour). The auto stop doesn't stay long though am pressing the brake paddle (with the same pressure) and also, it's kind of uneasy when it was stucked at the jam, as the engine was feeling like it was going to auto stop (since the speed is rather slow, or about to auto stop in a jam) and juggle in between restarting engine and stopping engine. May I ask how do you guys manage it to work smoother? Thanks!
Few tips. Drive with Econ off ( my experience Econ off or on my fuel saving is the same) so maintain off all the time.
When stuck in heavy traffic like u move few inches every 5 sec and your engine keep on and off that irritates u, then just shift the gear to S. The will remain on all the time.
Read the previous thread like version 2 onward. Got allot of tips.
My Insight is wearing Stock tires, dunlop, SP 2030. Car was due for rotation/alignment/balancing at 30k. I having been doing this for every 10k. Happily go to the tire shop, to my amaze, the front tires are GONE! Inner part of my tire is bald, white thread can been seen! The rims do run into some poth holes, a little dent, but still the tires is gone too fast, less than a year of smooth driving (achieved 5.8L/100km averagely). Changed all the 4 tires to Achilles ATR Sport 205/45/16, cheapo tire @ 250/pc, but review is ok ba. Really tempted to change to 17 inch rim... maybe next time. Have been driving car for years and never do encounter such a poor quality tire... if i delay my tire rotation, you could probably saw news reporting a white insight lost control, spinning on highway!
So all insighters... pay extra attention to the dunlop sp 2030 tires.[attachmentid=2723825]
This looks more like cause by your alignment out and toe is not align. (usually use chamber screw to align it? To prevent this from happen ?)
LDA (i-DSI + pause-cylinder i-VTEC) - Honda Insight (ZE2) sedan SOHC 8 valve cylinder i-DSI + pause i-VTEC Displacement: 1,339 cc Bore x Stroke: 73.0 mm (2.9 in) × 80.0 mm Horsepower: 65 kW (88 PS; 87 hp) / 5,800 rpm Torque: 121 N·m (89 lb·ft) / 4,500 rpm
Is it true I heard the new civic hybrid is no longer using 1.3 hybrid and is using 1.5 instead. Same engine as 1.5 insight?
Added on March 8, 2012, 11:29 amJust want to find out with all the insighters. Which petrol do u use? Ron95 or Ron 97. Please give reviews on this. Good, bad, etc......

Hey guys, a dumb question - as I can only do servicing on Saturdays (weekdays working and would like to send my car to sc personally instead of seeking SA's help though they said they can help to pick up and send back to my office), can I actually do my 1st 1k service abit after 1k but within the 1month period or it has to be by definte within 1k? Coz mine on average around 350km per week, so, i may need to service when it touches 700km on 2nd week if it has to be strictly within 1k.
Your advise please.
Just send your car service when reach 1k or 9++ or 10++. Or every 3 months before ur car mileage is due. There is no restriction.
