Just tried uploading a 2048pix just now... file was 2.5MB, uploaded and download back.. compressed to 500kb sad.gif

yea, compresses.
but its still 2048, but FB at fullscreen seems to squeeze those 2048px into what is around 1500px wide.
so it somehow still looks ok, or at least better than before.

I don't think many people have screen that is able to display 2048 vertical tongue.gif... any screens like that out there at the moment? 4k screens? lol

hmm ok, looks like its max 2048 both ways.
so if the pic is in 16:9 ratio, then 2048x1152.

LOL, definitely its 2 way la. Else everyone would be posting horizontal only.

Standard ratio for DSLR is 3:2... meaning 2048x1365... if horizontal guess only the 27" 1440p monitors can display at full... if vertical no chance unless those 27" standing in vertical.

k i can help, 35 not so bokeh, compare 50, so out.

1.8 and 1.4 suppose 1.4 better bokeh.

But i would advise to get

50 1.8G instead.

i liking my 35mm 1.8g

if you want to save or get the best budget prime then 50mm and 35mm 1.8g is the best bang for buck, 1.4g is almost double the price of 1.8g, not very worth in my opinion
