A bit OE'd but meh, it's a test and I don't quite find the car distracting except you're taking from the wrong angle lah, cars appearing in light trail shots can be interesting biggrin.gif
Some say D7k is the replacement. No one knows. But D7k seems legit to be one for D90.
Isn't D7k replacement for D90? I mean, in a way...? lol =x

i use bulb mode and i open the shutter more than a minute with f22, ISO100

that is the only angle i can find in my house doh.gif

Discontinued BUT there are still stocks around and people are selling it expensive (including D3100, D5100, D7000) with reason "Thailand flood".
So basically it's between D300s and D90. and all along I thought it was same as D90 tongue.gif

increase exposure around 0.2, lighten the shadow, increase contrast and increase vibrance to make the food look rick in color and exposure to brighten the surrounding and feel like you are taking the picture under good lightning

that's what i normally did for my photo, i'm newbie in editing too and still leaning

ya, its slightly underexpose.
if it was me, i'll crop it tighter to get rid of the empty spaces on the top etc.

also since got so much noise, one thing u can also try is convert b&w and use selective color to bring out just the satay and sauce color.

Hi I own a D7000. Would like to know which prime lens i should opt for(new to photography and first prime lens) . My kit lens is the 55-105mm. And also woyld like to know the effectiveness of a reverse ring compared to a macro( or micro for nikkor)lens. Where do i get my hands on one?

Perhaps 35mm 1.8G or 50mm 1.4G/1.8G? Putting myself in your position I would pick the 35mm as u already got the 55mm covered near to the 50mm.
However it also depends on what u shooting as well. Walk around or full body portrait 35mm will be nice; while half body portrait 50mm is just wonderful.

Try them out at Pertama complex. Plenty of camera shops there.
Personally, I think micro/macro lens is not necessary unless you really like to shoot figurines/toys(even insects are hard to shoot with a 60mm macro lens) or u are a macro shooter biggrin.gif

Just my 2cents

Yup Pertama, rememeber to nego, always good price there.

With ur 55-200, i recomend 35mm too, but 50 is really good, 50mm1.8d cheap

Added on March 18, 2012, 7:01 pmAnyway, cant wait to shoot time lapse with D800.

sometime you need to balance your sharpening with noise reduction

another method you can try is to use the sharpen function in adjustment brush to sharpen selective area

hmm.gif Alright. I'll try that selective area technique. Thanks. btw, I pp'd using laptop, I realise that when I use a CRT / iMac and laptop, all qualities are slightly different doh.gif so each time I wanna pp I have to use the monitor, sigh.

if u want macro, perhaps consider the nikon 40mm f/2.8 macro lens, rm800-900 i think...either way i think its the cheapest macro lens around now.
or slightly higher, tamron got a 60mm f/2.8...

I saw a 13-15 year old boy with a D300s with vertical grip and 70-200 VR2. Dad brought him to Cathay Photo to buy a camera bag.

He brought the camera along to fit the size of the bag. Pretty clueless, both father and son. Hahaa. I enjoyed myself looking at them being clueless.
