3-4yrs? not 2yrs until D900 comes out?

If D800 follow the same flow like D700... 3-4 years seems right

the pro bodies does follow about 4yrs from D2, D3 and now D4...if include D3s then its only 2yrs.
while prosumer bodies from D200 to D300 roughly follow 2yr timeline, until of cos now the D400 and D800 come and mess up the timeline

i would guess any future D500 and D900 would go back to the 2yr timeline.

Anyone can guess , but D700 is the semi pro FX and it has about 3.5 until D800 is out, gotta wait for D900 then can see the trend.

Even if replacement came out 2 yrs instead of 4, not neccesary need to upgrade, it really depend on what you want.

One might even upgrade from D800 to D5 instead of D900, after 4 years before next olympic.

No need to think so far, spend and enjoy.

the astro plate and the apartment opposite got in the shot and the car on the street is a bit distracting

just want ask.. d90 discontinued right? so when new model will be anouce?

duno, nikon keep diam diam only...so far we expected replacement of D300s -> D400 gua...

current d90 not-so-direct-upgrade is D7000

A bit OE'd but meh, it's a test and I don't quite find the car distracting except you're taking from the wrong angle lah, cars appearing in light trail shots can be interesting

Some say D7k is the replacement. No one knows. But D7k seems legit to be one for D90.

Isn't D7k replacement for D90? I mean, in a way...? lol =x

i just planing to buy d90 this week..but when i ask all forumer that sell d90..all of them out of stock..n after google.. baru tw yg d90 da discontinued

not really a "replacement" for D90...if you check category of D7000, it is advance 1 more level...but still lower than D300s

Anybody can share latest free gift nikon sling bag because i'm found got design ala crumpler...

Discontinued BUT there are still stocks around and people are selling it expensive (including D3100, D5100, D7000) with reason "Thailand flood".

So basically it's between D300s and D90. and all along I thought it was same as D90

went to my usual shop ytd...
and got quoted D4 for Rm20k with a little small change...
it's damn expansive...

i waiting to see if D3s brand new price will drop...
and also wondering when D400 comes out if nikon will ditch DX sensor and put a 1.2x crop sensor in it...like what the D800 / D3s / D4 offers in crop mode.
