it is a flaw. The fone should unlock with the credentials. If this is a security issue why show the option to get the option to unlock?

Added on January 30, 2012, 2:14 pmhow can i restore using titanium? if I reinstall titanium apps..I can restore?

install titanium backup then restore your apps using it.

this should make you realize that its always best to keep a backup of your apps and data, etc.

btw, have you tried the nandroid backup, wipe phone then restore nandroid?

as everyone know USB OTG work well on GNex, I had tested USB mouse, keyboard, thumbdrive all are ok.

I'm thinking if those USB device/storage required higher power, our phone mostly not able to support. How about if we connect OTG cable with AC-Powered USB 4-ports Hub, will it work? anyone know about it?
just saw a youtube video demo on Nexus S with AC-Powered 4-port USB Hub via OTG, is work. How about GNex?

I had taken one full backup a week ago from gnex toolkit. Is it nandroid backup?
I restored that and now installed titanium. But I can not see my titanium backup created by me few days back. Does reflashing delete those backups too?

3g should drain battery higher than wifi. Unless your wifi is weaker than 3g

sleep 5
fastboot flash radio radio-maguro-i9250xxkk1.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
sleep 5
fastboot -w update image-yakju-itl41f.zip

not sure why you need factory reset at the first place. anyhow, just copy your TB apk and entire TB folder to your PC. do anything you need, after done; copy back the TB folder and install back TB. as simple like that.

I have been using stock ROM since I bought the phone a week ago.
Battery life definitely improve after few days of usage,
but it is undeniable that 3G surfing drains battery faster.

I have always switch it to 2G when I set the phone to idle.
Only enable 3G when surfing web or facebooking.
In this way, it does help a lot in battery savings.

But I will root the phone soon laugh.gif

Any kernel to recommend? I heard James Bond kernel rocks.

It's a flaw imo. That's the point of the google login, backup mechanism ma. Weird that you actually need data for it, should take the credentials u store when u add the account to your phone

that would create issue where ppl can retrieve the account from your phone and login

As in when the phone is locked out, prompt for gmail should be matched against what is already stored in the phone ma, no? Rather than contacting server.

Or to do that would expose the sensitive data? Don't see how wo, you're still locked out unless you know the password. Same as contacting server for verification, just alternative to contact internal of phones instead.

What about ppl without data plan for instance. Or were on flight mode/no data mode prior to phone locking out laugh.gif
