To whom it may concern,
My contract with TM Unifi will be ending next month. And though of move over to Time, what is your opinion.
Is it the right move?
How is the charges for the telephone? What number does it comes?

If you compare bandwidth/price ratio, TIME offer better deal.

Phone call charges, check www.time.net.my, it is more expensive per se.

Hi smile.gif

TIME is not 100% full proof, but compared to other ISP, it's very much better in terms of speed & stability.

TIME is the only ISP in Malaysia which utilizes 100% Fibre, a very thin 2 Core Fibre optic cable will be pulled into your house. Fibre Modem (ONU), Cisco Wireless Router & a Dect Phone will be provided.

Actually TIME has an Easy Switch promo going on, where you switch over from Unifi (within your contract period with TM) to TIME, TIME will credit back the RM500 into your monthly bill. This RM500 is to contra the penalty fee you paid to TM due to early termination.

Thanks smile.gif

Looks like congestion is happening at their core routers. It's expected with the curse of popularity. When a service is good and is oversubscribed due to its popularity, you can come to expect this.

Most ISPs will alleviate this problem only by buying more core routers/B-RAS.You are not suffering from very serious speed degradation issues aren't you?

funny that you mention about speed. looks like it is utter crap too

pinging 300ms to a local server over a 100% fibre network is a huge joke lol

if you run a service provider and unable to oversee the issue of over subscription and thus affecting all your subscribers, you're doing a pretty bad job. when you say most ISP, i guess you meant on a local scale.

Oversold..end of the story.

That's something you would expect when a service gets too popular. Unless they buy more B-RAS or better ones, consumer services can't demand more because the peak hours and best efforts are conditions outlined in their contracts. It depends on the ISP's attitude and sincerity to address their customers woes.

Dear new TdC users,

This "issue" that their first customer facing routers are suffering from has been occuring since approximately 2008.

Go outside for a couple of hours and things will magically be fine when you get back.

Regards...

I've been reporting this issue since I first got on NetLynx in 2008 after using multiple other enterprise solutions from TdC at my home. Absolutely squat has been done.

Reporting this "issue" will result in their technical team "having a look at it". My guess is their thoughts consist of "eh restart tengok bole tak".

Coherent and elaborate.

Enjoy!
