Simply because the implementation cost is too high. For normal fibre Internet, it does not justify the ROI.

Singapore should not be any problem.

Please report your case to TIME CS at 1800 18 1818 & get a Complaint ID to follow up later.

Are you from KL ?

The 100Mbps issue has been gradually fixed stage by stage.

Many of the customers previously had this problem are now ok.
*
So i just call time and complain ?

Yes I am from kl. This is the trace result.

Hi Guys,

Newbie here. I live around bangsar and subscribed to TIME 10MBPs + ASTRO IPTV sometime last week. All is good until last Sunday when the speed dropped from 10MBPs to about 0.1MBPS but my ASTRO signal is perfect.

When this happens, i restart both the modem and router and it will go back to 10MBPS. Been consistent trend the past 2 - 3 days. Would like to know whether

1. MODEM faulty
2. WIFI Router faulty
3. Others

Do let me know what to do since I am fed up of restarting the thing 4 - 5 times a day. Thanks and looking forward to learn here.

Hi Bro,

Your equipment is fine. This is a known issue, most of the time happened to iptv subscribers. You will need to call to 03-9543 1543 (u cant call to Time directly since you are using Astro IPTV package).

Time will refresh your account & it will be back to normal.

To be 100% confirm is not your router problem, you can bypass your router. Do a dialer on your comp, & dial it and then test your connection.

Be very careful to monitor the pattern of this problem, isolate your problem from the one below :

If the slow speed last for long time & your astro picture gets pixelated, then it's due to the high reading.

Hi Bro,

It's best to have them come over to have a thorough check. This is absolutely not normal.

Still the same problem, Astro perfect no problem & Internet speed drops down to 0.1Mbps ?

Astro does not goes through your router, please try bypass your router & see the problems goes away.

Thanks.

I'd love to know whats the requirements for special case as well. I live in a landed area surrounded by Condos/Flats/Offices that TIME has listed as covered in their coverage list. The nearest condo is just less than 200 meters down the street from me. If only they can drag the cable just that little bit more..
