Hi Guys,

Newbie here. I live around bangsar and subscribed to TIME 10MBPs + ASTRO IPTV sometime last week. All is good until last Sunday when the speed dropped from 10MBPs to about 0.1MBPS but my ASTRO signal is perfect.

When this happens, i restart both the modem and router and it will go back to 10MBPS. Been consistent trend the past 2 - 3 days. Would like to know whether

1. MODEM faulty
2. WIFI Router faulty
3. Others

Do let me know what to do since I am fed up of restarting the thing 4 - 5 times a day. Thanks and looking forward to learn here.

Hi Bro,

Your equipment is fine. This is a known issue, most of the time happened to iptv subscribers. You will need to call to 03-9543 1543 (u cant call to Time directly since you are using Astro IPTV package).

Time will refresh your account & it will be back to normal.

To be 100% confirm is not your router problem, you can bypass your router. Do a dialer on your comp, & dial it and then test your connection.

Be very careful to monitor the pattern of this problem, isolate your problem from the one below :

If the slow speed last for long time & your astro picture gets pixelated, then it's due to the high reading.

I realize that the problem starts sometime on Sunday and ends sometime on Wednesday. Should i keep calling them on a weekly basis?

Dear jjj2,

After 2 weeks i think i found the reason for the internet lag. Its due to my ROUTER (Cisco Linksys E1200). When the internet slows down or something, i just restart it and all goes well. But its very irritating. 2 options here

1. Buy new router - any recommendations. Plan to do my own personal home cloud?

2. Get TIME to repair/replace it. I got UNIFI in another home in Subang and it works really fine despite its ugly looking color.

Thanks.
