Like I've explained before, priced of NAND has fallen so much that 60GB drives can actually be sold for less than RM180 and still be a profit.
Come end of the year, 60GB drives should be under the RM200 mark and will remain like that for a while. The big push is 120GB drives which we will see coming down to the sweet spot of RM280 and under. It of course depends on the type of NAND used and the brand (simply because some brands will continue to be overpriced here for whatever reasons). |

QUOTE(zhen^wei @ Aug 14 2012, 12:49 AM) The actual rumor was actually Intel quitting the mainstream SSD market. They will re-focus on server class SSDs.But this rumor has been talked about since last year, nothing new. |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Aug 12 2012, 03:26 AM) ~35GB give or take. Depending on which version of Win 7 you install and whether or not it is already slipstreamed with SP1. After applying all updates, just the Windows 7 Ultimate OS will use up around 18GB. Clear all the update backups and don't have restore points.![]() QUOTE(salimbest83 @ Aug 13 2012, 07:23 PM) i think my sweet spot for now is 128GB For SSD, you don't need to have the indexing turned on.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(refnulf @ Aug 13 2012, 08:19 PM) My sweet spot would be 512GB. And perhaps a 1TB SSD in the coming year or so as a secondary drive. Buy 2 off 256GB and put them in RAID 0. Buy 4 if you need 1TB later on.Drives are mostly filled with applications and games. My games already total bout 133GB so far and there's more to come. QUOTE(pot @ Aug 13 2012, 09:17 PM) 1 Last question to clear out b4 tomorrow order my intel 330 120GB SSD. Is there any different between normal daily usage intel 330 SSD and crucial M4 SSD, I mean can we really can feel/spotted the different if we compare both?? RM320 for intel SSD and crucial M4 +-RM369. TQ I have both the Crucial M4 128GB and the new Intel 330 120GB. NBo difference from what I can tell.I would say get the one that would be most comfortable to your pocket. QUOTE(harryfoo @ Aug 13 2012, 10:13 PM) Viewnet. Guys, if I fill up 90% of SSD space , will it decrease it's lifespan / slows it down or any negative effect to the SSD?
