Guys I've some questions here.
1. Does Sandforce controller still face BSOD problem?
2.Crucial m4 vs sandforce controller ssd, which is better?
3.Which 128G SSD would you guys recommend ?
Thanks in advance!
Budget max 400, lower is better but don't neglect performance. :3

1. Pretty much no. The latest patches since a few months ago has pretty much fixed up the BSOD issues, reports are much more uncommon now in comparison to last year.
There are however still users getting BSODs, but they can be down to other factors not just the firmware.

2. I still prefer the Marvell controllers (Crucial M4) over the Sandforce. Eventhough Sandforce, on paper atleast is faster than Marvell controllers but they do have a performance deficit when it comes to incompressible data.
For me, the Marvell controller is better as their speed doesn't drop regardless of what kind of data it is processing.

3. Crucial M4 128GB or Intel 330 128GB. As they're the closest to your RM400 budget, both drives are around RM430-RM450. So you still have to pony up a little bit.

OCZ Agility 4 on the way.
http://www.ocztechnology.com/ocz-agility-4...d.html#overview

If they sell them at a price point similar or lower than Intel 330, we're gonna have a very interesting market of SSD price war in the next 3 months indeed.

If Agility 4 really comes with 5 years warranty, it'll be a huge win for OCZ.
As other competing models in similar price range (M4, 330, other asynchronous SF-2281 based SSDs) only has 3 years warranty.

agility is same range as m4/330 so i don think it will come with 5years warranty

I read somewhere that Vertex 4 don't have performance degradation issue while accessing compressible data anymore. Any Vertex 4 user can confirm this?

Weird... your mobo should have no problems being in AHCI mode.
The P55 chipset doesn't have issues when in AHCI mode either.

Perhaps update your BIOS?

yes. thats why u dont need to format your system always. and vertex4 price is cheaper than intel 550 and corsair force GT
