QUOTE(irwan_aka @ Jun 1 2012, 09:40 AM) I have issues to bring here. Firstly i'm using the ancient motherboard ASUS P6T collaboration with i7 920. you had to know if your P6T has SATA 3 port first... many 1366 doesn't own SATA 3 / USB 3 portsSecondly my hard disk is already dead. So i want to try using SSD to my desktop. I know it can't fit with the new tech of SSD nowadays. So i need help from all sifu here to recommending to me what the worth SSD that can fit and reliable to my motherboard. |

for the M4 issue, i think it's looks more likely a memory issue rather than an HD problem...
Btw, check thru many forums pertaining SAMSUNG 830 vs M4, 830 got most of the votes. Why a? |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jun 20 2012, 02:23 PM) Because given any day, I'd take the Samsung 830 if not for its price. Hah~ so you mean pricing issue scared people away isnt it? I have a Samsung 830 in my laptop and I love it more than the M4s that I have in my desktops. While most users won't be able to notice the difference in real world usage, the 830 is indeed faster than the M4 and is just as reliable if not better. |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jun 26 2012, 12:57 PM) In the end, this will just be another SF-2281/2282 based SSD with synchronous NANDs (ONFi 2.x). LAMD just released a new ssd controller. Wont hynix use it like OCZ?It's not going to outperform an Intel 520, but will match it. Good thing is that Hynix sell their products somewhat cheaper than most. So let's see its price point then when it (or if) comes to Malaysia. i has strong feeling that Hynix is using SF chipset as "market scout" |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jun 27 2012, 12:44 AM) Meaning branding it SF but using a different silicon inside? I doubt they will though. i meant, they use SF controller at their product for now, to test market feedback then they start to use their own controllers (LAMD)It'd be interesting if they do. For RM800 you can get - Crucial M4 64GB or Intel 330 60GB = ~RM280 For HDD you can get the Seagate 3TB (ST3000DM001) = RM480 Total RM760. Reason getting the 3TB Seagate HDD is because it is the fastest HDD out there now after the Western Digital Velociraptor 1TB. |

QUOTE(owikh84 @ Jul 13 2012, 10:42 AM) Thanks for the credits bro. Apparently CyntrixTech has done a good job to promote Crucial SSDs as well. too many PI, Micron APAC not controlling, no kang tau... how to do wor So i heard local distros is pulling off from distributing Crucial products. Any reason behind this? Btw, not really pulling off, just not focus on M4 This post has been edited by storm88: Jul 13 2012, 10:00 AM |
