To my surprise, every double pedal cobra in bentley (new or old model) are all sold out.

I got em' from Deadeye Guitar, I'd totally recommend to get your gears from him. His price is good and he is super friendly.

As much as I wished to use the stock beater came together with the cobra, I get 2 extra hard rubber beater to prevent damage to my E-drum.
Setup is a little weird for my position of my pedals because space doh.gif, but I am fine with that so yeah biggrin.gif

As for the pedal, here's my thought:

At first I wasn't used at all, it is definitely heavier than my old pedal that came together with Roland (double-chain drive).
But once I am adapted with the pedal, I gained so much control and power compared to the last pedal I've used. Although I get fatigue a little bit faster (well it is also contributed from my injury from the car accident few months ago).

Here's the pictures biggrin.gif

I missed drumming. Without a band for quite sometime and no more jam-mates (all have family/work commitment ady. yeah im old) makes quite impossible for me to start drumming again. Its good to see this thread still alive after all this while.

Keep on drumming guys.

Serious question:

Anyone tried XM drums before? Was seriously considering due to the aesthetics but the sound was less than pleasing. Also when trying to play alternate accented rimshots (which i tend to use a lot), the drum module registered it consistently wrong. This was a huge red flag for me.

I owned the model before. Made in taiwan innm.
For its price, the pedal is good.
The slave pedal develop a lot of play after a while - reason I sold the pedal.
Still playable though. This based on my experience back in 2004. Not sure got new version

Of course. Any pedal is good to play metal.
I think I hit around 189-190ish with this pedal. Straight 16th.

Gene hoglan play 220 bpm using old camcos.. It is not the pedal bro

i own one.. pretty decent practice kit albeit it's a little loud when hitting eventho they're all mesh.. the sound from the module sounds like something you hear from a keyboard too.. laugh.gif i've bought a DTX500 module and replaced the XM module. the experience got alot better.

I remember back in the day all I'd do was come here and hang out for ages.
What's everyone been up to lately?

Since the last time I was here I think I've almost completely revamped my setup. Miss those time ah.

Just for kicks, a few of the setups I've messed around with over the past year.
