Hmm. I don't know. I kinda just do the ghost note thing according to how I feel, and its like motorized already. HAHA. If you're looking for double bass+ghost notes... Go Periphery. Matt Halpern's ghost notes are sick.

try this: user posted image

or if you want DIY, take 2 pieces of tissue, fold them nicely, and tape them on the snare using a black tape.. it works for me icon_rolleyes.gif

not sure if it works.. maybe is snare tuning of muffle.

Cos i try pressing the snare head and whack lightly also the sound very loud. That shud be one way to check if the snare loud or not right.. cos by pressing the head and whakck lightly it suppose to haf soft sound.

Kinda like touch it only it will sound CHAK!! Its like a fuking pussay that screams no matter wat u do

Subjective issue...if you've had experience playing piano or had some theory foundation it will help your development as a drummer.
Learning to play the drums really all u need is practice, practice and practice. The more u practice, the faster u pick it up. Simple as that...

Try changing your heads? Sometimes its the snare too. Some snares, you just can't play soft. HAHA.

Hey there, I'm Isaac too. wink.gif HAHA

I play in church as well, but I do play secular music too. Hey, and you can go slightly odd-time stuff in church too. Just a little bitmore creativity wink.gif

Can someone kindly recommend a place in Klang Valley where I can browse and buy a drum set for my wife who has recently started drumming lessons.

I have been to the one at Ikano Power Center and also the one at Paradigm Mall. I read that Bentley is a no-no place.

Any advice is most welcome.

Well, its not that Bentley's is a no-no place. You could always browse there, or JS Music, or Music Master. smile.gif
