There is a slim 65 watts adapter.
i don't know about gnome 3 but on the old gnome 2 you can simply restart it by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Backspace.
Another method is by switching to TTY by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F4/F5/F6(not sure if i remember this correctly) and run sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart. To go back just press Ctrl+Alt+F7.

What is you proc speed when u run sudo cpufreq-info in Terminal?
HP standard warranty for their products not 1 year by default? hmm.gif

You're using on-demand CPU governor.. it is equivalent to balanced mode in Windows.

I have no idea about the missing taskbar and etc. sweat.gif

Hi guys... This may be the wrong place to ask about this HP laptop, but what do you all think of this?

http://www.trustedreviews.com/hp-pavilion-...n_Laptop_review

Do you all suggest me to get the HP Pavilion dv6-6b00 instead for the same price?

I mainly need to do photo editting, minimal videos + gaming. And need something light enough to bring around.

^ what kind of game u gonna be playing at? 7470M is not quite up to the task for new game with nice graphic. Even the upcoming integrated Intel HD4000 is more powerful than this. sweat.gif

Minimal gaming like Dota/GTA only.

So, do you recommend me to get the Pavilion dv6-6b00 instead, or the higher end one that cost 3,999? Budget's around 3-3.5k.

hmm.. just get DV6-6C19TX for RM3k. Can play Dota 2@Max setting. laugh.gif
Weight 2.63kg and battery life around 4-5 hours.

If you need backlit keyboard.. buy external keyboard with backlit like few guys in this thread have done. tongue.gif
