Acid, mind to share your methods of optimization to make duh a sweet boot time? Really interested in gettin Tat sweet fast boot time.
*
Sure, but try at own risk tho.. i won't be responsible if this method shiat brix or time warp your system. tongue.gif
Try this when u have few hours of free time to spare. I didn't receive any errors while doing this, so if you get any error i might not be able to help.

1. Download and install CCleaner, AuslogicS Disk Defrag, Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows 7 and .NET Framework 4.

2. Take note when installing MS Windows SDK for Win7. At installation option screen, untick everything except Windows Performance Toolkit under Common Utilities.

3. Run CCleaner and start cleaning that cache files, temporary files, old logs and anything that u feel useless.

4. Still in CCleaner. Run the Registry Cleaner and fix all the problems u're having. Re-run until there is no problems or if u can't fix it after few tries, just ignore it and proceed to the next step.

5. Still in CCleaner... Goto Tools>Startup and disable unnecessary startup programs. If you're not sure which 1 to disable you can google or post it here. I'll gladly to help if i know. Then goto Uninstall and start uninstalling programs that u're not using.

6. Now open Auslogics Disk Defrag, start defragmenting your main hard drive. If your main HDD got 2-3 partitions, defrag them all. Use Defrag and Optimize option.

7. After you've done defragmenting, open start menu and run Command Prompt as Administrator. Type or copy paste this cmd into Command Prompt.

CODE
xbootmgr -trace boot -prepSystem -verboseReadyBoot

8. Window Performace Tool will trace your boot record and optimize it. It will reboot about 6 times. Let it finish. You can go watch TV or take a nap. (Assuming you don't need to key in any password on Window Login)

9. When its done, run Bootimer to see if there is any improvement. U might need to run this as Administrator.

hi how is the performance of this laptop in crysis 2 and temperature??
*
Hi, i don't have Crysis 2 yet but i play Crysis 1 before. I can set the detail to High and still get playable framerate. Without AA of coz. Temperatures peak at 87c on 1 of its core. The temperatures dropped 7c-10c when i play at night.

u can check reevephon post for Crysis 2 temperature here. Not sure if he playing at night or day time.

I've done some googling, and they suggested me to get this driver too. After I install, it is able to detect, but I've no idea why my Wireless Adapter isn't working still... so as for other 3 components (PCI, Unknown Devices, and 1 more which I've forgotten)

Anyway, I plan to restore back using the HP Recovery Disc, then remove unnecessary sw, can someone guide me on which sw is recommended to be maintained and what not ? icon_question.gif

Yes, it can be overclock. Check the 1st page. I've posted my oc'ed and benchmark links there.

This is few videos that i uploaded into youtube. Bear in mind the fps i get is around 40-60. Recording the video drop the framerate significantly. doh.gif
And all these running at stock clock. smile.gif

1. I'm playing Mafia 2 currently@40-50 fps. Crysis 1 is more graphic intensive compare to Crysis 2. I can play Crysis 1 at High setting. I'm pretty sure u can play all those upcoming game. Maybe at lower graphic detail.

2. Yeah GTX460M is better. If u can afford Sager 8130. Go for it, if not this is your 2nd best choice. hmm.gif

3. It goes slightly higher than normal. Not high high.

As for Dirt 3,

All settings on medium, 2xMSAA, min 58 FPS

Gameplay is very realistic and smooth, plus, there is even autobraking as you enter corners, so you never slide off the road.

Another good game is Race Driver GRID, infact, it is one of the best racing games EVER. I love playing it. Both games are developed by codemasters.
