hey thought of buying hp now for...it seemed that they have improved a lot...might be getting 6c000tx..but if the 6c19 is good enuf might take that 1 xD..any review on that one?

I've emailed HP and tried to call them but their lines are always busy. Trying again later.

i doubt there's any review yet since it's a new model!

Have you look into Asus N55SF-i5 version and MSI GE620DX-FHD? These 2 have their own strong points and pretty much on par with DV6 in term of price/performance.

Was in dilemma yesterday.... Envy 15 at ~3.9k but the extended warranty will cost rm328 (to 3 years) for me.... total ~4.2k.... dv6-6c19tx to 3 years is 1.1k lesser... i didnt manage to see any new envy 15 screen so it wasnt tempting enuf.... i read the screen is top IPS tech panel... not TN panel... for envy 15..... dv6 screen is not very good IMO

Yeah i read about the IPS screen too. IIRC, 1080P IPS panel Radiance display.

Simply put, a better screen, in viewing angle, colour reproduction, contrast..

Not too late yet i suppose... but i don't think i will want to pay for 1.1k more for radiance backlit keyboard, IPS screen, 4gb ram more, 250gb HDD more, and the design... hmm... but installment to 24months only makes a rm50 different each month... LOL!...

if u ever seen kindle fire in live action... that's IPS! =D i'm having one... have to say IPS technology is superb!

you mean the camera? just lick on the camera program then start clicking on it... but cyberlink youcam doesnt have many special effects to play with... you can try manycam for special effects and others...

let say if i get the dv6-6c19tx, can i send the laptop to HP service centre and change the display panel to a full HD panel or IPS panel u all mentioned above?

The IPS is for HP Envy 15
