QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Dec 21 2011, 12:18 PM) Congratz. Thought u're going for Envy15. Was in dilemma yesterday.... Envy 15 at ~3.9k but the extended warranty will cost rm328 (to 3 years) for me.... total ~4.2k.... dv6-6c19tx to 3 years is 1.1k lesser... i didnt manage to see any new envy 15 screen so it wasnt tempting enuf.... i read the screen is top IPS tech panel... not TN panel... for envy 15..... dv6 screen is not very good IMO |

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Dec 21 2011, 03:14 PM) Not to late to cancel it right? Not too late yet i suppose... but i don't think i will want to pay for 1.1k more for radiance backlit keyboard, IPS screen, 4gb ram more, 250gb HDD more, and the design... hmm... but installment to 24months only makes a rm50 different each month... LOL!...Confirmed.. in the States at least. Link: Tech the Halls: A Holiday Guide to New HP Laptops and Desktops |

QUOTE(^4ever_Fan+a5y^ @ Dec 21 2011, 04:11 PM) Can v change the dv6-6c19tx screen panel to a full HD panel then? 1 thg to remember.... you cant change HP laptop specs at all, no changing can be done by HP for hardware except for adding ram......Coz i was told by MSI dealer, the MSI GE620DX-FHD model is out of stock in whole malaysia, he suggested me to get the MSI GE620DX with a HD screen display and send the laptop to the service center to change the display panel to a full HD display panal. I'm wondering can i do the same thing on HP dv6-6c19tx model? Added on December 21, 2011, 10:05 pm QUOTE(ShinRyu @ Dec 21 2011, 06:09 PM) same answer as i mention above... no hardware customization for HP product can be doneThis post has been edited by vincentlaw: Dec 21 2011, 10:05 PM |

QUOTE(Jesmon @ Dec 21 2011, 10:43 PM) If you really want to get anti glare FHD display panel, you can buy if from the state like I did.You can freely customize the hardware and the price is cheaper if you use coupon to purchase(can easily obtain the coupon from www.logicbuy.com).I bought mine with anti glare FHD display,750GB 7200rpm,9 cells battery and 8 gb ram by using 30% off coupon,it cost me $956.19(I paid RM2850 to the agent first)...But the shipping fee charged by the agent is a pain in the ass,RM760!So totally cost me RM 3610. then its not much different with dv6-6168tx, mind to tell us your full spec details? |

QUOTE(moniqee @ Dec 22 2011, 10:12 AM) wow... so sayang should put the bluetooth inside... =D but overall really seems like 6168tx just the hdd smaller only... =D well shipping would definitely kill you since they calculate using the box size ( you know lar laptop box are oversized! ) 6168tx is still better overall, except for the HDD (debatable), and ofcoz paying for the extra ~rm300 for the difference- capacity and speed or HDD: 1TB 5400rpm on 6168tx VS 750GB 7200rpm (owner's laptop) - connectivity : missing bluetooth (owner's laptop) - processor: 2670QM 2.2GHz on 6168tx VS 2630QM 2.0GHz (owner's laptop) - battery: 6cell on 6168tx VS 9cell (owner's laptop) - graphic card: 2GB ram on 6168tx VS 1GB ram (owner's laptop) guess in the end its still the same.... Added on December 22, 2011, 10:41 am QUOTE(Jesmon @ Dec 21 2011, 11:24 PM) 6168tx wasn't available back then...sigh...anyway,below are the specs what is ur laptop code? those who ordered/bought can check ur status here https://h20497.www2.hp.com/os/simpleView.tcl
FYI HP office close down between 26th Dec 2011 - 1st Jan 2012... not sure will the production and delivery will be delayed... Its assembled in China and direct shipped from China.. so it will take some time.... so those who ordered/bought it will need to be patient, especially with this coming dual festive season This post has been edited by vincentlaw: Dec 22 2011, 10:57 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Dec 22 2011, 01:15 PM) Use BlueScreenView to troubleshoot. You can download from lee sifu siggy. U mean 720p or 1080p screen? Read review that the 720p screen have 2 types. Oe with 220dpi/knit and another is 200dpi/knitI thought i'm the only one who think the HD display is adequately good. |

QUOTE(storky20 @ Dec 22 2011, 08:08 PM) Oh not sure "submitted" comes first or "production". My printer is "submitted" too.U didnt upgrade to 3 years warranty? FYI extending warranty must be done within 60day of, not sure date of receive thr laptop OR date of ordered/payment, thats is wat i get from the sales rep. Added on December 22, 2011, 10:13 pm QUOTE(amie_the_fakes3 @ Dec 22 2011, 07:03 PM) Next time click the "show problem details" and screenshot and show us here if it happens againU might able to get some idea from the windows error/monitoring/performance reporting log too. Quite useful for ppl who know how to utilize it. This post has been edited by vincentlaw: Dec 22 2011, 10:20 PM |

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Dec 23 2011, 01:11 PM) SSD, isnt really a feasible option for now unless sacrificing the dvdrom slot... if replacing HDD(without sacrificing DVDrom slot) then its either facing - too small SSD capacity(if wanna spend less) or - too expensive SSD price (if buy bigger capacity) hybrid HDD? momentus XT? or wat else u recommend? what about total 8gb vs 16gb ram?... any idea where to get single 8GB Sodimm? not mainstream yet i believe This post has been edited by vincentlaw: Dec 23 2011, 01:47 PM |
