uncle benny, which rom are you on now? Rocket Rom v14? updated 5/1/2012 with Abyss-Kernel 2.7...

my friend's 32gb sandisk sd card and 8gb kingston are giving him problem,caused the device to reboot when starting media scanner, but no reboot issue without external sd card,does it means that it could be phone related issue? His phone is running stock 2.3.6 rom and free from warez.

yes,already tried two cards,same issue. Tried to format the cards using pc,still the same issue.

You cant even boot into the dvice and format internally?
It could be the slot rather than the cards.

Already update to Kies Ver 2.1.1.11124_17. Still don't see the update button in Kies. Is this the latest version?

i also facing different problem.. but i use my home's pc to connect with kies, then it pop out the update. The problem is i keep on getting error after half way download the firmware.. so i try on my notebook or office pc, then the update prompt did not come out anymore.. only if i connect thru my house pc, it will prompt me

Both your home PC and office notebook use the same version of Kies? What version are you using now?

yes, my notebook, home pc, office pc all using same version..the latest version download from samsung website.. i uninstall and reinstall also the same.. so now i only can get the update thru my home pc.. but always get error.. so i gave up and go for rocket rom..and now flash back to kl3 using mobile odin..

the phone just works fine without the sd card,will try to format sd card using the phone,if doesn't work I guess need to send it to service center. Thanks

Will be less tinkering on the Note. Just got mysrlf the galaxy nexus , like chinese saying new toilet will spend more time on it exploring ics, root n flashhing roms

one more question uncle benny..
what's your preferred method of flashing those custom roms?

1. CWM?
2. PC odin?
3. mobile odin?

or any other method that i'm not aware of?

CWM first than mobile odin n last pc odin

Benny, i got one q which is out of topic..just out of curiosity, seeing you sell the old android phone and replace new model, what is the reason make u keep the ipad2?

Even I'm not Uncle Benny but since I also got ipad2 with my android phone, for me ipad 2 still the best tablet so far with lots of apps, stability and screen sensitivity

When I start the Mobile Odin Flashing, it shows some terminal commands and reboots and now seems to be stuck at the "Samsung GALAXY Note GT-N7000" ...
How long will Flashing takes place? Or my SGN is bricked?
