QUOTE(entaro @ Jan 5 2012, 10:39 PM) Benny, have been reading your posts and taking notes on the upgrade to 2.3.6 since yesterday and now ready to take the plunge... after the firmware is downloaded... 300mb to go... Updates on the above : anyway, I am in the same situation as cynox... I have stock 2.3.5 kk1 rom, rooted but NOT installed with CWM... has mobile odin and currently downloading the KL3 firmware.... I will proceed with the below steps : 1. Launch mobile odin 2. Select OPEN FILE - and browse and choose the stock 2.3.6 firmware tar file (N7000DXKL3_N7000OLBKL2_XME.tar.md5) You will see a listing of all the files selected : kernel, system, data, modem etc etc 3. Replace the kernel file with the CWM extracted tar file : CF-Root-SGN_XX_ODD_KL3-v5.0-CWM5.tar and leave everything else as default 4. Select flash firmware 5. Sit back and pray... Will update again when I've done it... Thanks Benny for all your help... appreciate it very much... Added on January 5, 2012, 10:40 pm I believe it is the bloatware... Successfully updated the firmware... took about 10 minutes total, first time boot-up will take slightly longer than normal.. flashing system is the longest time consumed.. Benny thanks for all your instructions... it works flawlessly... I need to buy you a beer |

Quite smooth but not as smooth as Rocket Rom. Only the Android system bumps up in the Battery Usage screen. mind to share the link? This post has been edited by writeprotect: Jan 6 2012, 11:05 AM |

You can call the CS Centre... Talk to the e-warranty department... The they will ask you to fax the receipt... And they will register the phone for you... |

If we reg our own , seems like only 1 year from SME .if SenQ reg for you , it's like 2 years . But then i'm not sure, better ask your seller reg for you . Anyway there's nothing & it's good also if they late register for you , so you can enjoy few more days warranty what . Let's say if you are so unlucky your phone spoil before they register for you , nothing to worried also just go service centre after the next day they register for you . |

from my past experience, senq in my place did not do the registration. I asked the supervisor there, she told me if anything happen, just bring the phone back to senQ and they will send back to service centre for repair.. go through them, even you not register, they still can get the warranty from service centre.. but to be safe, it is better for you to register yourself in case one day u bring the phone to service centre yourself without hassle. and the warranty from samsung is 1 yr and the rest by senq..so the 2nd yr onwards, they might just get 3rd party to repair or send to service centre..its up to them..
