is it so hard to get root? Mine can get rooted and installed recovery in less than 5 minutes, then customs rom. The whole process took less than half an hour (around 15minutes)

Rooting means that u can use customs rom, editing the system file, take out the system apps that u don't want etc while jailbreaking the iphone means that u can install paid apps for free.
