Try turn on s memo and draw lines from the screen to the edge. Meaning go off the screen area. Do it on all sides. Read it somewhere, tried it, works a bit.

Having the same problem. Some say it is due to accidental power button press, but for my case it even restart on table as well.

For those with Gnote random reboot and shutdowns, try taking out the battery and sim card and clean both contact points and put them back.
Didn't seems to get any of the random reboots and shutdowns for 24h.

will your flash counter increase?

When you downgrade, will it wipe your data?

QUOTE(shinzan @ Jan 5 2012, 08:46 AM)
so far cannot root in 2.3.6...so hav to revert back to 2.3.5 that we can root using usual method...

after that install Mobile Odin Pro in ur Note...then flash 2.3.6 + CF Kernel via Odin Pro...settle...

Finally succeeded in rooting 2.3.6... rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif

Did the same thing as you have done.
Flash it back to KK1 using Windows ODIN , root it, then use mobile Odin to flash to KL3.

Everything is good smile.gif

Flash counter increase = No

Wipe my data = No

I have use PC Odin to revert back to 2.3.5 KK1 and root it.
Then only use Mobile Odin to update it to 2.3.6 KL3
No wipe and so far so good.

When exactly will it be released? i mean ICS. It is anyone guesses.
For now hopefully the KL3 will solve some battery issues and erratic wakelocks. Overall 2.3.5 is already a great version.

QUOTE(Edoras @ Jan 5 2012, 05:13 PM)
Is it worth the upgrade to 2.3.6 when the 4.0 ICS is around the corner?
I just want to avoid the hassle of Rooting it back.

I think the only major difference is that Pro you can inject Root and lite you can't.
If you have rooted your KK1, then lite will just be fine.

Correct me if i am wrong.
QUOTE(stella_purple @ Jan 5 2012, 05:27 PM)
now still downloading the KL3 from sammobile.  sweat.gif
use mobile odin lite will work? or need mobile odin pro from android market?  unsure.gif

does it reboot everytime the device scans external sd?

QUOTE(Guardian @ Jan 6 2012, 03:18 PM)
my friend's 32gb sandisk sd card and 8gb kingston are giving him problem, caused the device to reboot when starting media scanner, but no reboot issue without external sd card, does it means that it could be phone related issue? His phone is running stock 2.3.6 rom and free from warez.

You cant even boot into the dvice and format internally?
It could be the slot rather than the cards.

QUOTE(Guardian @ Jan 6 2012, 03:33 PM)
yes, already tried two cards, same issue. Tried to format the cards using pc,still the same issue.
