Just got my g53sx non 3d for RM3850 from C-zone 2 weeks ago. works like a charm. got asus mouse gaming mouse and rog back pack. loving this laptop.. however it does attract alot of dust. cause of the rubberised surface.

Best to run it without the battery if you're plugged in to the wall socket. ur battery will last longer, but just remember to plug it in once in awhile to maintain the charge.

wondering where can i get the rubber keyboard protector.. anybody got any idea?

Just be careful because there is a magnetic thing under the trackpad. If you put any magnetic object there, the computer will go to sleep/hibernate (depends on your setting). Basically, it actually thought your computer lid is off. So yeah.

guys how to disable the green light on top of my screen? i am using asus g53s 3d model

Press the 3d button beside the power management button

If cannot , restart . It's a bug . Very common prob for 3d screens. Just hopethat future driver updates will fix this

used my g53sxfor say 3 months plus now.
absolute happiness. only dusk stuck in the speaker holes and soft speakers.
other than that it's all good.

captain problem asus strikes again.
now my beloved laptop decides to flash its screen randomly. flash as in screen turns black for 1-2 seconds then back to normal again. this happens randomly when i do my work or surfing the web.

what could this be?

should be nvidia driver crashing.. happened to me alot of times when i was on 280 driver...

Hey guys, im currently using a g73 asus notebook.

Wanna ask you guys does ur hard drive activity completely goes to 0 when you dont do anything at all? or there are some C;/NTFS file going on for like 7kb/s on ur disk activity. cause mine has the NTFS thing running on disk activity eventhough im on idle.

You can check urs at task manager > performance > Resource monitor > Disk activity

Speaker not loud.

It could be page file/cache running. Its pretty much normal.

But does it runs all the time? althought its not like the disk activity light keeps blinking, its blinking for a fraction every 6-8 sec..

anyway, is there an option to turn of page file/cache running?

How much does ur disk activity reads when you off everything and let it sits idle?

mine blinks every 0.5 seconds, no activity. stops for a while, then starts again

The only way to do so if u wanted is to shut down the laptop. Then problem solve. ur disk activity reads will definitely 0 for sure.
