happened to me with basic 38, and to another poster.

be careful when you sign up. there is advance fee in the tnc but no elaboration or any indication if it will be refunded unlike umobile's.
ask them, quiz them.

UPDATE: it's called advance payment.

No, Celcom did not charge me any advance payment.
I went there filled up the form and collected the new sim card, that's it.

good for business, but there's some rule to avoid their sms system crash. Put delay each sms delivery.
Their system isn't build for business. Plus nowadays, people rarely use SMS.

For port-in they will not collect an advance payment as the porting might not be successful so it makes no sense to collect any payment for port-in customers.

The advance payment will be collected for new subscribers (new number) or those who are existing customers who wish to change to another plan.

Hhmm... That's weird.

I've asked them (Digi) via email about MNP and fees for one of their plans (Digi Postpaid 68). According to them, they will collect advance payment and it will be credited back on first month bill.

Not sure about DiGi's procedure but my comment was responding to those who are commenting about Celcom.

There is no advance payment for MNP, I've asked Celcom Staff just now.
Only pay the bill for when needed.

today I got message from 27676 :
Please confirm your request to leave Digi. Reply Y or N before 24-03-16 09:02:00

and 1 minute later from 66677:
RM0.00: Thank you for choosing Celcom.Yr porting request is being processed by yr current operator.Pls wait for the next SMS for the porting status.Info:0196011111

this happened only in 1 minute. I don't reply Y or N because I only read that message after both those messages came and most important thing is I never request to port out from digi. my question is, is it possible for someone (other than me) to request port out for me? my identity card is with me and I never asking for help to port out from anyone.

@seoulplayerx

I have been informed before that porting request only verify on matching of phone number and ic. Most likely, it's data entry error on the phone number where your number was typed by mistake. So long as the submission have the correct, non-matching ic, you should be safe. Anyway, better check with DG.

Telecommunications provider, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd with its regional counterparts, namely dtac in Thailand and Telenor Myanmar will put together a programme that will help the regional startup scene, worth some RM10 million, annually.

For the Malaysian startup scene, the programme -- Digi Accelerate -- offers two selected Malaysian startups to have the opportunity to enhance their businesses through a four-month boot camp, alongside startups from Thailand and Myanmar.

login to MyDigi using DG Connect for the other number and choose Plan Add-On.

use a non-DG internet connection for this login.
