You have to change home flex underneath the black home button.

Home button sticker can only do prevention. When you gotten the problem, its too late to apply home button sticker.

iphone 4 user here. my speakers are not working. works fine with headphones, calling is okay too. i dont think this is the 'iphone thinking it's plugged into a headphone' problem because when i change the volume, it said "ringer"

i'll be in KL 4-7dec later n i hope to get a replacement from maxis klcc. but im not sure if they still can replace in ~2hrs or not. if they cant, can you fix it quickly? u can PM me the charge

Speaker you are referring to loud speaker? Play apps and etc no sound as well? or just during calls? I heard Maxis KLCC can replace a new one for ya within hours. Normally 3rd party technicians are charging in between 100-200.

Scratches are normal, I would not replace the screen if just that minor problem. But all depending on yourself. Could not answer on behalf lol.
Neway, if you are reluctant to change home flex to fix unresponsive problem; you can always download activator from Cydia as mentioned by Mackiddo.

My 3G on Celcom C9.1 firmware 05.15.04 on version 4.2.1 (8C148), the phone frequently encounter NO SIGNAL. I realised this after switching from Maxis. Is there any remedy besides switching to Maxis? Also the phones seems to be lagging though i have another 10Gb space available....

Have you try downgrading your iPhone back to IOS3.1.3? Tested with other sim card except the above?

Price of this service varies. Price ranging from 60-180 depending you seek service from which source. It's definitely replacing it, no way to repair it. Even you repair it, it could not last long; for a short period yes.

U gonna need to replace the flex underneath the home button.. Refer to post 4 on how the flex looks like.. U cant repair the used flex because the spring isnt that good anymore due to usage..

The repairman will dismantle ur iphone front assembly.. Seperating the digitizer and lcd.. Then only they gonna be able to change the flex.. Price as mentioned before its between rm60 to rm180 depending where u get it fixed.

my iphone 4 purchased from digi under their iphone plan contract..

their warranty is 1 year, phone purchased last year november, and this year end of november 2011, my iphone because of a coffee split, some tiny splashes has dis-function my iphone.... my phone's speaker is not working..when i pick up a call / dial a number, the other person cannot hear what i am saying...

but if i use loud speaker, it is usable... the ringer volume is also sometimes cacat..

because it is just pass 1 year digi warranty, i cannot claim their warranty

Is your problem same as youtube's iPhone prob? If yes, you need to change the digitizer. Digitizer is included touch panel + glass. Dont just buy glass.

Mine is 3gs and last week my phone fall on the floor....now the left hand side of the touch screen not working anymore..it means half of the screen cant sense anything....my screen no crack...but i can pull out the whole piece of that touch screen out with ribbon attached...now need use voice control to call out just can unlock the phone...need help and advice...

Your problem is similar to thirdgun. Do not separate the touch panel yet ! As it may affect LCD. Post a picture of your iPhone is good to lead.

It's hard to predict. Dead spot or strips happens by itself or human fault (dropped or water damaged). You are unluckily where you need to change the whole touch panel even thou no visible crack.

Hi, I just dropped my iphone 4 on the tarmac and it shattered the iphone 4 display . Picture as attached.

I buy the phone from Maxis btw. Is it possible to get them to repair my phone and at what cost?And if not are there any reputable shop that can repair/replace my display? Thank you for your advice

Charges from maxis would be around rm600. You can get it replaced outside from rm200 -rm400 depending on the shop.

hi guys, i noticed my i4's speaker volume is very soft even tho i had turned the volume up to loudest. especially when i'm playing videos i recorded from my phone, and when i am typing messages. compared to one of my friend's i4 hers is very loud... still un-sure if its my speaker problem or not..... wondering how much would it cost to fix it?

Did you drop the phone before this?



The home flex cost you less than rm50 and you can diy following some guides online.

yes but i dropped it on a carpet floor and i was using cleave bumper and it wasn't so high. so i think it's not because of that....

Problem occurs after dropping? Have you try restoring to factory setting? If still not able to fix it, recommend you to send over to warranty if still available.

On the other side, prepare for a backup plan to DIY or send for repair if warranty not longer available. Possible cause is the speaker enclosure.

Refurbished set mean its still under supervision from your carrier,which is fully covered until your contract ends (2 years) *just like your current iPhone warranty ends.

i have a problem with my iPhone 4 ios5.0.1 when make or received call, the person on the other side cannot hear me. what bugs me out sometimes the microphone working fine.

but then i tried sound recorder the microphone working fine. is this hardware problem? my phone is still under warranty. should i go warranty it?

had check with yezhacolic on the issue cant make outgoing or receive incoming calls, for incoming calls, the caller can hear the calling sound, but receiver could not get the call at all.

tried to reset & restore iphone for 2 times, and same problem occurred again.

repair shop said probably is receiver faulty which they could not repair.

Anyone other than yezhacolic can help or advise on this issue?

Its definitely a wise move to send in for warranty. Go to 3rd party repairman IF only your warranty is over.

hi guyz,

I left my on the floor (screen facing the floor) when sleeping and next thing know the floor was wet (not sure for how long, 2~3 hour). Then i tried to wipe it clean n use hair dryer to dry it but now the phone works fine(i think) except no brightness. i cant control the brigtness, and it almost impossible to see the screen. only can see it with some angle.

Look thru your 3.5mm jack hole wether its red or white still.

Takes up any cotton material cloth.Rub smoothly over it.
And remember,next time please spend some $ to get good screen protector for your gadget.

Hi all, I bought an Iphone4 for my mum from Celcom (unlocked) like 4 months back and my mum keeps on telling me that it happnes quite often to her that the slide to answer call does not respond when she receives a call. Her description was that she tried to slide to answer the call but the slider will not respond, causing her to miss a lot of calls.

Is this a normal problem? Or should i send it back for warranty to Celcom? Thanks.

Oh man. Shattered the front screen of iPhone 4. It still works but it bothers me. I don't think I can DIY cause it looks like a major job to remove the parts.

Hi Sifus. My Iphone 4 is aged around 1++ years. Battery life seems to deteriorate. I would need a battery replacement. I looked around on the web, found ifixit website that sells the battery replacement, but they do not send it to Malaysia.

Anyone, please help if you know where I can get the battery replacement. Digi said warranty period is over, won;t cover or change it.
