Have to say it's very little like Gingerbread and all before it. Added on December 10, 2011, 10:22 pmIs it just me or does the GNex sometimes totally lose all mobile signals (emergency calls only) and takes some time to reconnect? Using Maxis w/data plan btw. And owners, what file manager are you guys using? Still on ASTRO? |

Other then fashion statement, it's practicly useless. If you are even remotely thinking of Rhyme, buy a Desire S, it has more userbase, more option for everything (root, rom, mods) If all these is not in your consideration, I seriously do not know why would you wamt to tryput android~ seriously. |

It's 11.10 now. Similar activities as previous two days. 17% battery left.
The key is small spurts of screen-on time. You want gorgeous screen, you got to pay with battery life. That's why there's audio notification and home button notification. You only turn on the screen when you need to check things on your GNex. Also just had another of that font/text glitch I previously mentioned. I had 2 games left on multitasking, then tried opening Kindle app. Screen hung for a while but the three soft buttons still works. Rebooted manually with the power button, and the glitch appears. Changed the font to small and large, the glitch partially corrects itself, but text on widgets still messed up. Turned off phone. Removed sim card. Rebooted without sim card. Glitch went away. Turned off phone, put sim back on. Turned airplane mode in case it's the network problem again was messing it up just like previous case. Turned network back on, then only everything become normal. QUOTE(Lucifer @ Dec 10 2011, 10:52 PM) Hello guys, Your review justify my experience that the battery wont last long... I bought my Gnex few days ago, from directd in subang. And I guess it's my purchase that allow directd to drop it to 2499. I bought it when he is just changing it to 2699. And when their staff asked, I said "I know the price one lar, 2899 ma." But in real time if I care to checked his post, it would be 2699, stupid me. But nonetheless, no regrets. I've been waiting for this, and I wouldn't mind it. Review: Experience: HTC Desire, Desire Z, Flyer, Aria, Samsung Tab P1000, S2 non g. Stock Launcher is smooth as baby skin. Root it at the first chance I have, which is 2 hours after purchase. Fully charged it, flash with android revolution HD. Bought battery monitor widget, follow web recommendation, chrarge full, drain full, rinse and repeat. I'm now at 3rd cycle, and I believe I can accurately say this, Super AMOLED Sucks. The phone is perfect for me, no question to that. But the screen sucks battery like water. This phone, in my opinion, is just like Gnote's gsmarena battery test. Without screen on, eg. on standby, on phonecall is good With screen on, Web browsing, game, facebook, work (mine is gmil, excel, ftp, camera), it plain sucks battery. Maybe it's dualcore, maybe it's Super AMOLED ( G2 non g shares the same thing, but I only played with it 2 days before handing it to my gf) My other phone, Desire (AMOLED) , Desire Z (Super LCD), Aria (Cheapo LCD?), battery drain doesn't gimme the feel of sucking, literaly. But the battery issue is there, definitely. I have 2 choix charger, one 2700, one 5000 on standby just for this phone. Go figure~~ By the wway the GNex had restarted by itself.... for the first time due the bad signal ... i guess they havent really fixed the problem of low telcos signal .... The good thing of battery problem here ... is I do believe the promotion for an official launching of GNex by SEP here will come with an extra free battery just like in Taiwan.... QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Dec 11 2011, 12:16 AM) I have this principle I follow. If I don't know anything, or am not sure of how to address something, I simply shut my trap. Unless I have anything concrete, worthwhile sharing, or further progresses a discussion, I'd rather not say anything. Maybe you should too? Just sayin'.You'd be annoyed too if I start ASSUMING things on you when you're actually something else, wouldn't you? From the quality and contents of your posts, I'd like to assume certain things about you, but I follow my previously mentioned rule and not say anything until I'm sure that assumption holds water. |

QUOTE(AlphaBeta @ Dec 11 2011, 01:57 AM) Micro B. Some micro USB cables have their pins 1 and 5 not extended enough to allow these pins to deliver power charging, while pins 3,4,5 are extended to allow data transfer. You'll have to look at these cables thoroughly so see that the lengths of the pins inside are not uniform. |

Nvm, I would foresee that this will be less, as those places that I went, has weak 3G signal, but strong H+ for UMobile. So it's not that bad after all when I get a phone that supports HSPA+.
