The download live wallpaper OR the pre-installed live wallpaper OR both.??   o_O

Even the pre installed live wallpaper will cause a slight lag.. but I dont really bother about it as I do not use it at all.

It's wasn't that bad on S2, if it's not noticeable at all.

it is a known fact that live wallpaper causes lag in GNex...it could be because LWP aren't optimized for ICS
*
Really? Where did it say that it is a known fact? Link?

I've been using "Phase Beam" live wallpaper, with TV Fav stack widgets, Pulse widget, Palmary Weather Pro widget, Twitter widget and apps shortcuts on the phone and I don't see any lag.

A short video I recorded while on the GNex and "Phase Beam" wallpaper,......what lag?

Phase Beam live wallpaper seems like the only 1 is not affected - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20036572

Good for me I guess, coz I find "Phase Beam" being the only one that I like in the list of preinstalled live wallpapers. wink.gif

It's either "Phase Beam" or the Chroma wallpaper I rotate in between each other.

Guys, there are sometimes whereby my reception just drops to zero during sleeping and reconnects back to HSDPA when I wake it up. Anyone having the same issue?

It occurs on a rather unpredictable basis so I dunno how can I simulate it.

On Maxis here, usually it's full bars with no issues.

If nobody else is experiencing it, I think I shall do a factory reset and see whether that solves it.

Another thing: Does anybody use a volume booster app of some sort? The notifications/alarm volume level is really unacceptable sad.gif

yeah depends on whether the problems are small or big.

i use PIN code to protect my simcard.
if each time weak signal it will hang or restart...
and i may be missing a lot of calls if i dun check on my phone every now and then.

Yup, I've been reading about Volume+ on xda yesterday, decided to give it a try today. Hope it doesn't blast my speakers, set it at +4.

Ironically, I haven't been able to reproduce the signal drop since morning. Will observe this phenomena over the next one week. I have a feeling it's purely software, and if it's a problem, I'm sure Google will release a fix in an update, which the Nexus line will get first - that's the reason why I went for Nexus wink.gif

It doesn't hang or restart your phone. It'll just have difficulty autoswitching to 3G once you move into 2G territory. Your phone calls will still go through on 2G just that your data is slower. This happens on UMobile, but since I've switched to Maxis, no problems. I've also tested on Celcom, and it works without a problem.

Hmm, maybe mine was just an isolated case when I was taking it out of my bag (brought it to play futsal today sweat.gif). I'll just continue to observe it and see smile.gif

string, what is your screen protector model?
i bought a normal cheapo type, the edge cannot stick properly due to the curvature screen.
