I hope it's the green telco!

And even if it's exclusive under telco, I hope we can buy it without contract smile.gif

If there isn't a slightest hint of a release date by the time AP sets touch down, I might just cave and get one. The poison is too much!

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Dec 2 2011, 07:58 PM)
If you think that Note screen is already fantastic, the Nexus is out of this world. The ppi on this screen is so high, i cant differentiate pixels anymore. I love densely packed screen, so this is the ultimate disolay yoi can get at this moment. Fantastic!

And so snappy! Ive taxed this by launching Twitter, Facebook, DICE player, 5 tabs of web browsers, playinf music on "3" oon the background,  and still it runs smooth like butter! Unbelievable!

Just signed up for a RM28 prepaid data plan with U-Mobile and together with my YES4G, it should cover my needs.

Cant stop looking at the screen!

How does it compare with the iPhone 4's Retina Display? I'm trying to convert a few iPhone users into Android, so first and foremost, the screen must be at least on par laugh.gif

Extended battery! I hope they bring it in. I don't mind having some extra bulk at the back for better battery life.

New things are always 'a couple of months' away from release. If you keep having the 'something better is around the corner' mentality, you'll never get anything smile.gif

My two cents.

thanks to you too mate!

many people are using nexus now and i'm still stuck on galaxy note!! sad.gif

You should've saved one unit for yourself, bro! tongue.gif

Still getting used to my Galaxy Nexus! Have to say it's very little like Gingerbread and all before it.

Added on December 10, 2011, 10:22 pmIs it just me or does the GNex sometimes totally lose all mobile signals (emergency calls only) and takes some time to reconnect?

Using Maxis w/data plan btw.

And owners, what file manager are you guys using? Still on ASTRO?

Another weakness I noticed is that the default alarm tones are a little on the soft side..

Hmm, some stuttering still present in GNex when I use live wallpapers + create folders and try to enter/exit the app drawer/move stuff around.. a little disappointing, I have to admit sad.gif

Guys, there are sometimes whereby my reception just drops to zero during sleeping and reconnects back to HSDPA when I wake it up. Anyone having the same issue?

It occurs on a rather unpredictable basis so I dunno how can I simulate it.

On Maxis here, usually it's full bars with no issues.

If nobody else is experiencing it, I think I shall do a factory reset and see whether that solves it.

Another thing: Does anybody use a volume booster app of some sort? The notifications/alarm volume level is really unacceptable sad.gif

Yup, I've been reading about Volume+ on xda yesterday, decided to give it a try today. Hope it doesn't blast my speakers, set it at +4.

Ironically, I haven't been able to reproduce the signal drop since morning. Will observe this phenomena over the next one week. I have a feeling it's purely software, and if it's a problem, I'm sure Google will release a fix in an update, which the Nexus line will get first - that's the reason why I went for Nexus wink.gif

It doesn't hang or restart your phone. It'll just have difficulty autoswitching to 3G once you move into 2G territory. Your phone calls will still go through on 2G just that your data is slower. This happens on UMobile, but since I've switched to Maxis, no problems. I've also tested on Celcom, and it works without a problem.

Hmm, maybe mine was just an isolated case when I was taking it out of my bag (brought it to play futsal today sweat.gif). I'll just continue to observe it and see smile.gif

string, what is your screen protector model?
i bought a normal cheapo type, the edge cannot stick properly due to the curvature screen.

Cheapo one for me and I'm having the same problem as well. Need to get a better one, and a better case as well..

Experienced the sleep of death issue for the first time today. Hope it won't happen again.

The reception dropping problem seems to have went away by itself smile.gif

Just had a random reboot today sad.gif

Yet another issue to put on observation. I have a feeling that is purely software though.. hope it'll be resolved in version 4.0.2 smile.gif
