One question here, do the games look weird on GNex high resolution screen? Games like doodle jump biggrin.gif

Or just renders fine on 720 resolution?
*
I don't play that game, but any other games I've installed they looked fine , probably because they're the HD version of that game. Even other simpler games that doesn't carry the HD configuration looks okay with me. It's games that are preconfigured with a certain graphic chipsets that are messing up, coz it isn't compatible with the Mali GPU. For example, Dungeon Defender: Second Wave. The game uses Nvidia's drivers so you need to root and install Chainfire 3D and the drivers. But even after installation, the controls are offset beyond the screen making it unplayable.

if my memory serves me right, i4S & GNex were announced around the same time in the month of Oct.

i4S is launching on 16/Dec/2011, & yet no news for GNex. come on Samsung, show us some light!!
*
its actually two weeks after 4S's announcement, if we assume they would launch in the same time frame, GNex would be at least near the end of December / January. =/

However I don't think that is the case. I'm hoping for it to be available before Christmas. smile.gif

Sorry for this question, still blur on android.

When the SGS2 or SGNOTE officially receives the ICS update, it will be the same as the galaxy nexus? smoothness especially

Just a couple of months after single-core Nexus S was released, here came Galaxy S2 running the same OS but with a much faster dual-core speed.

Would it be regretful to buy dual-core GNex now, knowing a similar 720p, button-less ICS phone with a much faster quad-core is just around the corner?

New things are always 'a couple of months' away from release. If you keep having the 'something better is around the corner' mentality, you'll never get anything smile.gif

My two cents.

You buy GNex because of it's nexus. Google releases new Nexus a year right?

I am already aware of Tegra 3 since Q4 2010, when most people are still drooling over Tegra 2 phones, some aren't even aware of dual core phones yet, and here I am, counting the days before GNex is in my hands wink.gif

Simply put, (this is going to sound fanboyish, but that's how I see it) quad core CPU is powerful, no doubt. But if its not in a Nexus phone, why bother?

What practicality does a quad core CPU have over a dual core now? To boast higher benchmarks? If that's your kind of thing, sure go wait for it.

Unless there are apps out there that would fully utilizes the quad core CPU power, there are no reasons you should feel regretful getting this phone now (or any other good dual core phones in fact).

its actually launched late December, but Msia is having it late... even then its almost a full year.

But then again, Nexus phones are not base on 1 year 1 phone, but every time when there's a new version of Android that Google wants to show off with.

What he says, I couldn't have said better. You spend time waiting and not time using.

Add me to the GNex user list rclxms.gif . I just got back from UK, bought myself one while i was there. Came from a Galaxy S2, which in my opinion is the finest Gingerbread device on the market. Touchwiz has some value added features that were missing from stock gingerbread, and is still missing from ICS (such as Smart Dialpad, bluetooth MAP)..etc.. .
