My point is, normal folks don't call an iPhone a fruit. Neither do I call an Android phone a "clunker", "pastry" or any replacement term. Why else would anyone replace a term only to have a different agenda in mind?
I have to agree.
Just call it iphone. No need to call it nicknames just because you dont like iphone. We know the intentions when you start using the inverted commas.
Lol, that's it? Honestly I thought it would be something more before I watched the video.
The only issue I see in that video is just "slow rotation" issue, even then it is still, like the guy said its designed that way, maybe its not consistent enough but nevertheless its a minor one. There's already patch from xda for you to flash if what you want is a shorter rotation delay.
The twitter app thing is really a non issue, at least not android's. Twitter is suppose to update its app to work with ics, not the other way around IMO. Even then, is it really an issue?
I don't know what to say if you're truly disappointed by these "slow down proof"
No. the overall experience is not buttery smooth as iOS. If it is twitter is not keeping up with ICS, why i see the same issue in Gingerbread phone?
It is a known issue that android scrolling is inferior than iOS. That's it.
I'd agree if that's what you're saying, however that has nothing to do with the video link you've posted. Then again, I have to say with ICS, Android has come very close in terms of fluidity. iOS on the other hand still doesn't offer few of the key features that android does. Its not hard to f*** up when all you have is a 4x4 icon grid layout.
The problem with the twitter app wasn't having stutter scrolling, but the icons seems to load only when you stop scrolling, did you even watched the video?
And whatever issue you're seeing with the twitter app, OF COURSE you would see the same issue on GB if Twitter isn't updated for ICS. ICS is the latest version, not GB. You would see the same issue still because the app isn't updated? How do you want me to explain this in more simpler terms?
And finally are you using the phone? Or are you just commenting based on the videos you saw?
I tested the demo unit. Since most reviewers and comments are very positive. I went and test myself before getting one before the official release. The overall experience seems ok, but as i said not very smooth compare to iOS. Even 3gs have smoother overall experience.
Galaxy Nexus is the best android so far, no doubt on that. But, it still have that 'beta' feel. It was worst on previous version, google managed to polish it in ICS. For A 2k phone, i was expecting more.
and your point is ? to ask us to forget about android and choose iOS? yes we are aware that scrolling is not as good as iOS but can you do anything about it other than to just bash only?
each of us has the right to comment on the phone and os but please give constructive feedback.. if you want post every single setback or inferiority of android on this forum by all means go ahead dude.. but what difference does it make? does apple reward you by doing that? heck no!
This is why i hate posting negativity of a product. Automatically labels as the other side fanbois. Stating problems fact is not bashing in any way.
No one ask you to choose iOS or android. Android have this one major problems with its scrolling, and im just saying. And each of any device have its cons. I can only hope that we can have a discussion that react negativity of a product in a matured way. You just should stop and state that you are aware of the problems. Or, providing alternatives or workaround is also acceptable. That is how i expect it should be.
I still want this phone, but still have to spend more time on testing the actual phone.
read somewhere in this thread or the galaxy note thread if im not mistaken posting that android is so laggy by referring to a video of twitter for android apps timeline scrolling.. well the apps is updated now and no more lag problem when scrolling through the timeline.. go check it out yourself and see the different.. and proof that its not android.. its the apps..
