woohoo, D4 made in...uhh malaysia? china?
Added on January 6, 2012, 11:43 amcant brain nikon pricing structure right now. D3x retail is USD8000, while D4 is going to be USD6000? so when D4 comes out, would that mean D3x will have a sudden drop to say USD5000? or should D4 be much more expensive? or maybe just cos its not made in japan? QUOTE(Everdying @ Jan 6 2012, 11:39 AM) woohoo, D4 made in...uhh malaysia? china? No idea where it's made. With high MP count, the D3x caters for a different market. My guess it that it will remain as the most expensive in Nikon's DSLR lineup. The D4 would replace the D3s as sports / journalist body.Added on January 6, 2012, 11:43 amcant brain nikon pricing structure right now. it looks more to me like nikon priced the D4 at that range, cos canon previously priced their flagship 1Dx around the same.

Maybe but do you see a logic if they priced a 16MP D4 higher than a 24MP D3X?This post has been edited by jchue73: Jan 6 2012, 12:19 PM |

Single digit bodies will be replaced by single digit bodies. If D800 is a 36MP body (to replace D700), perhaps they will come out with D4x to replace D3x. |

QUOTE(Andy214 @ Jan 6 2012, 02:10 PM) Depends how important is the difference in aperture for the person. If not so, then wait for review, then go try and test it and evaluate. It's about half the price of 1.4G right? agreed. if got alot of extra budget then go 1.4G. if not just get 1.8D which itself s a very good lens. i guess new 1.8G also should be quite good, judging from 1.8D performance elahAs for the 50, the 1.8G seems better and the price too. |
