so we'll need the usb jig to reset it right?correct me if i'm wrong...huhu...

I think that applies to Samsung Galaxy SII though as SII have binary counter build into them. For Galaxy S Plus, there's no binary counter so you can rest assure.

I just flashing to broodrom rom..
everything is okay but i'm having one big trouble.
I cant install apps from market.
There's a pop-up said
" Error while downloadin 'apps name'.There is unsufficient space on the device"

FYI, I do clean installation and already formatted my internal storage before flashing.

Please help me.

Problem solve by clear cache partition.Thank u guys..

What rom are you guys using? Can flash to non Asian rom right? like I9001XXKQ1 (2.3.6)
Any word on ICS port?

im using broodRom Rc2. yes u can flash other rom like taiwan or europe no problem.
all those ICS port for S+ are either on hold or just empty promiss and empty talks.. sorry to say but don't put any hope on ICS port for our phone

How to make our S Plus as a wifi hotspot? my htc wildfire dulu can do wifi hotspot. sorry if this is a noob question.

im just get 2nd hand phone of s+...want to try root this phone but the problem is i cannot connect with pc via storage mass...update firmware using kies also cannot complete...
so how to root it?is there any prob with the firmware coz i dont know whether last owner already done or not...but i already do the factory reset to clear the previous data/memory..

mine : firmware version - 2.3.3
baseband version - I9001DXKG1
kernel version - 2.6.35.7-perf root@DELL88#1

first make sure u pc has the samsung driver.. then try other USB port, if still cannot then could be ur USB cable issue.
firmware is the android realease. like example gingerbread is 2.3, ICS is 4.0.. of course, the higher the number, means the lastest is the firmware. basebands depends on region. asia is DX, europe is XXKPS, etc.. kernal is some sort if driver for ur phone. it affects the phone OC/UV and also battery drain. with a bad kernal, it give ur phone problem such as random reboots

I really want this phone. Anyone know how much does it cost right now?

i suggest checking out XDA forum.. the have plenty of mod there such as theme and mods. alternatively u should just flash custom rom

Added on March 1, 2012, 3:43 amhi! if u are in malaysia, samsung stopped producing it already. i bought mine last week after looking for it at tons of stores in KL. retail price is 1399, i got mine for 1299 with screen protecter. nego till 1290 best price. some might increase coz it starts to be come a RARE phone.. :D:D

Free should be enough. backup so you dont have to re-dl all the apps i suppose. i think just uninstall la. im not sure. all this based on my reading experience only coz i will be rooting after the ics rom comes out.. wait for anonymous1234..

yup uninstall. if u wan to use TB to uninstall i think u need pro version.. not sure though.
another way is u can install other app that will help u uninstall all d bloatware

root gives u privilage access to ur system files in ur phone. when u buy the phone samsung dont want to u mess around with the files inside. by rooting, u can do things samsung doesn't want u to do
flash means to install a new ROM into ur phone. kernal mainly controls ur phone cpu performance and batery drain. like lets say u wan to undervolt ur cpu frequency to save battery, u can install a kernal which support undervolt.

flash to broodrom rc3 r2 very nice nice, smooth lag free now ^^
