this is because samsung introduce this internal usb storage and the external sd card... the old path to access to the external sd card has been replaced by the internal storage.. so those app when it move, it just moved to the internal storage instead of external sd card..

once i saw some one manage to modify some file inside the phone to change the path of both storage but it needs rooted...

Added on November 26, 2011, 6:59 pmi think it's by default ext4... as for gps.. i haven't updated my phone to latest firmware.. but no problem locking my position with wifi on using google maps.. i can say very fast lock... not sure will it have gps problem after update.. still wait for the battery to flat and make it full charge before update..

tried 1st time failed... then 2nd time i cancelled it at half way.. cause the download take too long to finish.. end up update through Odin.. i think it's much faster and better..

mine also 2.6.35.7-perf root@DELL89#1.. not yet root... thinking of rooting it.. cause want to use those rooted app like titanium backup and battery calibration

Want to ask when u guys go into the download mode or recovery mode, do u saw a small vertical color line blinking at the right hand side of the screen? cause mine is having that.. but after restart it into the phone then its gone.. wonder its my phone got problem or its just like that?

update through kies which is official way but most of the people failed update with kies...

or download the official rom from samfirware and flash using odin.. instruction is at the 2nd post there...

tried to cook battery status from kitchen... uploaded the two apk files.. but when downloaded.. it's with all the folder and meta-inf inside...
can i just extract it and update the two apk files.. or i need to go into recovery mode and update the zip file..?

replace the two apk files.. but my battery icon still stay as original .. nothing changed..

just found out the files is not replaced... already mount the /system as read/write..
but can't paste the framework.apk in it.. strange...

using file expert to do all this.. and end up force close.. and phone hang.. try to take out the battery.. and phone stuck at boot .. end up flash using odin again...

after flash the stock rom.. all the application is still there.. need to clear cache or reset it? any problem will happen if i just continue using those app.. of course already root it again...

already aware of it.. just not expect that it will die so easily... and not much i did to the file as it just can't be replaced...

r u sure the files is replaced correctly? cause mine also n i thought the file is already being copied and check back the file size.. it's still the original one.. that's y it still the same.. and i end up crashing the system and need to flash it back..

Added on November 30, 2011, 11:20 amusing this phone since saturday... so far feel impressive with this phone.. no lag, run smooth.. battery life is good .. with some surfing, facebook, few calls and sms, around half an hour of gaming.. the battery can last for around 2 days.. with wifi/data off when not using...

i tried to put in another sim card to this phone and the phone just won't boot up.. keep booting n stuck at the samsung galaxy s i9001 screen then restart again.. but if i put back my own sim card then it just boot up fine...

i do installed androidlost..is that one causing problem?

Added on December 1, 2011, 9:25 ami think you need to root n backup using CWM.. standard recovery come with phone don't hv backup option... but u still can download the stock rom from samfirmware.. so i think there's no need to perform any backup to the stock rom.. correct me if i'm wrong..

just flash it back with the stock rom before sending in for warranty.. like that you can remove cwm and unroot the phone...

i'm using the latest stock 2.3.5 DXKJ2.. it's available for download from sammobile.com

worst come to worst.. just flash the older version if the latest is not available.. and send for warranty and ask them update for u

go to setting>location and security.. then you can change the screen unlock style.. by using pattern,pin or password..

questions: the package in the xda is one package, including FeaModRecovery and FeaCore Phoenix which change the kernel... means we can't install the FeaModRecory first to do a backup before flashing FeaCore Phoenix?
