Hey guys, im looking for a watch, which has military/aviation design, or with characteristic of Bell & Ross or Panerai. Budget of RM2k.

Any suggestion? ;D

Thanks

Thanks for the compliments.
Yes iamadrianlee, it is the one Hobbit was selling over at MWF.
No questions asked, just a simple PM telling him I'll take it. thumbup.gif

As to why I choose this watch, I have been aiming for one ever since I knew it existed... lol... noob lah me...
The Snowflake hands are pretty unique, I love it.
More so when the watch arrived and it carried a 900k serial, dated back to 1979 production year... my birth year!!!
And all this while when I told Hobbit I will buy the watch, we have never mentioned the serial number.
Destiny I guess...

actually all you need is a good spring bar tool. a cheapo china one will be just nice. sometimes the gap to reach the flange on the spring bar can be small and tight. so a thin screw driver will come in handy as well...

how to do it? erm..for the rubber strap, its fairly straight foward, as you just need to press the spring bar down and push the band in.
for the nato/zulu strap.

here's a pictorial.

I use a Bergeon 6767F spring bar tool when swapping out my straps. One end is good for my Omegas, the other end for the Sub smile.gif

Dear all watch expert, I'm so keen on getting a 18k two tone Rolex GMT2, been looking around for new and preowned.
would like to know what would be the discounted price for new one from AD? i was quoted RM 31k from a trusted taiwanese website, worth a go?
or a pre-owned of 2003 is 22k from local preowned shop, what do you think?
since the latest model will be with ceramic bezel, would like to know the material for old models.
Thanks heaps!!

Not an expert but i can say that if you're prepared to splurge over 20k for a watch, its better to look at brand new... No point saving a few bucks for the risk involved.
As for older models, bracelets are the rattly type oyster bracelet with hollow mid links and flip lock bracelet. Bezel inserts are anodized aluminium.
New models features newer case design, sits firmir on the wrists... Stout as some might say.
Bracelet are all solid and features a newer clasp. Bezel inserts are ceramic.

For a gmtii service costs, depending on what needs to be changed or replaced, you're looking at the region of rm1800 and up....
