just checked the prices comparing steinhart and gnomon, slightly lo. puluh2 ringgit diff only.. sad.gif
are u looking it right?
steinhart u don't pay 19% tax but EUR$39 shipping.

steinhart it is EUR$ 353+39 = USD$525.

gnomon is US$550 + cost of travelling to SG or shipping.

it is at least RM$80 in savings.

1. buy the seller, make sure seller is reputable and you get what you're paying for. since its a 2009 make and new in box, shouldn't be a problem as compared to much older Rolex models.

2. pricing is very subjective. box, papers, a scratch and a ding here and there, can make price different by couple of hundred dollars. you need to ask yourself, do you want to save few hundred bucks if you're already comfortable with this shop and want to establish a long term relationship with them? Also, Rolex prices won't varied much. In fact be very careful when the deal is too good to be true.

3 i might be wrong but its probably cheaper in online forums such as watchuseek, the rolex forum. but again, are you comfortable with buying overseas to save RM1-2k? not to say buying overseas is not good but you won't have chance to see to inspect goods before committing. Although there are proven overseas dealers that does overseas transactions without much problem..
An example of a very reputable rolex online dealer..
http://www.bernardwatch.com/Rolex/GMT-Master

http://www.rolexforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=9 good place to learn about pricing. Also, look at the Who's who section and you'll identify 3-4 very reputable dealers. Then browse through their threads and compare with what is offered to you and ask yourself, do you want to save some money but buy online?

all the best!

Thanks for the feedback bro Nando.

In a way, i'm quite confident with the shop...furthermore near to my office. The GMT is in pristine condition. Even the stickers are still intact.
Hopefully i can bring her by end month. Just that i stumbled on this piece before i went to check other shops in Sg Wang and Berjaya Times Square and after heading back to office i thought to myself whether i found a good deal or not. Apparently all these shops are buddies, so yes..im comfortable to deal with them rather than ordering online from overseas.

Now i wonder if i can sleep tonite without thinking too much on my GMT..hahaha hmm.gif

23.5k for a 3 year old watch but pristine condition?
I would rather go to a Rolex AD and put down your name on the waiting list.
You should be able to get a brand new one at 24.5k which is only 1k difference.
You get a brand new watch registered on the same day you buy it and under your name... Isn't it better?

used to be whole lot cheaper.

ppl looking for a non inhouse movement on PAM should read this
http://panerai.watchprosite.com/show-forum...1688/ti-750473/

the non display back version on PAM is kinda weakly decorated. I have to say close to the job steinhart did for 0.1 of the cost.
