Hi Everyone,

I connected my astro byond HDMI output to my Sony BDV-E380 input and connected the Sony BDV - E380 output to my plasma TV. The problem is, I notice there is a horizontal line flickering on my all my astro channel. But when I plug out the HDMI cable and plug it back in the horizontal line disappear. I tryed changing the Astro HDMI cable but still facing the same issue. Anyone has experience solving this issue. Please advice.

Sony BDV is a blu ray home theater system. Direct to TV looks ok.

Has anyone tried out the astro b.player for watching football online on the astro website? Is it any good? Also, does it work from abroad?

I've tried it on numerous occasions whenevevr Newcastle are not on TV..I have to say it's top notch..the commentary, the covearge is like what u get on TV minus the Astro pundits talking..whuch actually is a good thing..I think you can watch it from abroad provided u have linked ur Astro account to the b.player login..

Cheers, I've actually moved back the the UK but still have my astro account back in KL. Unbelievably, they are not allowed to broadcast live football at 3pm on a saturday here on telly, so I thought its probably worth setting up my astro account so that I can watch 3pm matches online (that is, when I'm not following Brighton around the country biggrin.gif. God, I've missed watching live football!).

I'll try watching it from over here and let you know if it works smile.gif.

You can setup a SlingBox on your Astro decoder so you can watch Astro from everywhere in the world as long as you have broadband.

I wl vomit if i see awani HD!!!!

BTW looks like Sezmi is on folks!,Today's STAR ,

YTL Sezmi

All eyes will be on YTL Communications Sdn Bhd's new IPTV offering when it launches at the end of this year, if all goes as scheduled. YTL Comms, a unit of YTL Power Bhd, inked an agreement with United States-based Sezmi Corp last year that would allow it to use the latter's technology to deploy a “hybrid” TV service in Malaysia and the Asia Pacific.

A hybrid service means it will be available on three platforms mobile, TV and computer and streamed wirelessly over Wimax networks, which complements YTL Comms' Yes 4G Internet product.

The venture, reported to involve a princely RM1bil to RM2bil investment, will see YTL Comms building a hybrid digital set top box with Sezmi that can receive digital TV broadcast and VOD feeds, making the company Malaysia's first quad-play operator.

Besides entering a crowded market dominated by few players, YTL Comms will have to fight the content differentiation battle, which market observers have cited as its major obstacle.
