Yelah..ur talking about the next SEA games event which is in 2 years time and the hosts are Myanmar..even now, Indonesia cant provide HD coverage of big events like football..Im not sure if Indonesia are even covering all the sports going taking place in SD..so Myanmar would have to have HD technology installed at every games venue if Qash-M idea is too become true..or Astro could of course give us another crappy version of their upscaled HD..

I've tried it on numerous occasions whenevevr Newcastle are not on TV..I have to say it's top notch..the commentary, the covearge is like what u get on TV minus the Astro pundits talking..whuch actually is a good thing..I think you can watch it from abroad provided u have linked ur Astro account to the b.player login..

This I agree..EPL is the min source of income for Astro..the other leagues too..they will do everything in their power and bank accounts too keep it..

Is the fee to install the Byond PVR still RM150? I thought that was promotional price until September only. If still RM150? Im thinking of getting it and take up SuperPack

Yes we can..and I agree..SkyNews HD would be class..but class is not what Astro wants..its only interested in junk..

I just upgraded to Superpack 1 today..

Before this i was on sport+3 minis plus Byond HD services for RM114 after tax..my parents wanted to add the Mustika package..it costs RM12.90 i think so instead, I upgraded to Superpack 1 for just another RM11..haha..talk about value for money!

Anyways, just to provide information, the PVR decoder is curently out of stock due to the recent floods in Thailand..yes..that is the reason..I recently had my order for some external hard disks also delayed for the same reason..

The decoder should be in stock in February or March..the price is RM300 and not the promotional RM150 that ended in November..

N to make avoid confusion, some of the Astro staffs are alos unaware about their own product..the staff who upgraded my package to Superpack surprised me by saying any Byond customer can upgrade to PVR decoder for free (which I knew was not true)..then I called up the PVR department and the staff there said, even if I am a Byond customer, I still need to pay the RM300 installation fee for the PVR decoder..which is true..

Is the PVR RM150 promotion back? My mother saw the ad on Astro.. I thought it was the 2nd decoder promotion..

Well if true, when did it start? My mother in law just upgraded to PVR last Sunday and it was still RM300 then..hoping the promo is back..have been waiting for it since upgraded to Superpack in January but at that time PVR decoder was out of stock..

Just to share..

TodayI had the best service Astro has given me since I started being a subscriber 12 years ago..

I ordered Byond PVR decoder Sunday afternoon..Wednesday they gave me the installer details..the installer was a very nice fella..i called him..he was driving at that time and he said he will call me back..he sure did call 30 minutes later and even appologised for not being able to answer my call because of driving..he said he will come today

they came today..arrived at 6.00 pm..and by 6.30 pm, they finished installing, replacing, everything..activation was done on the spot and they even waited for the decoder to fully update to the latest version before asking for the payment and leaving..very nice fellas..

n now im enjoying my PVR..
