Not much choices of roms :

1. SHEEP rom based on KKA at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1352945
He uses his own kernel which is compatible with Chainfire CF root
2. Modded lean rom HK ZSKK1 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342797
3. Antoniomistretta KKA rom at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342797
4. Germany KK9 and Switzerland KKA at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1350960

I have tested 1, 2 and 3 and frankly I don't see any major differences in battery life. If you read XDA forums, opinions

are mixed - some said battery life is better while some said is worse. I'd say the HK ZSKK1 has a slightly better battery life
If you are still on KKI - try change to FM kernel 1.2 by  SHEEP  ( the reviews seems not bad ): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342807 . Flash it using Mobile Odin or through CWM app

hi, it's me again. want to ask some question again.

1. how many FPS can galaxy note shoot for 480p? for 1080p is max 30fps... what about 480p? can go up to 60fps?

2. if you take out a battery for a brief moment (30second), like example swap memory card, do you need to key in date and time again?
*
For the Fps question...
I think the full frame per second is 30fps....for PAL...
which means 1080p can reach 30 fps...480 and 720p also will be 30 fps... it is called as real-time....
Correct me if i am wrong...hehehe...

BTW, any note owner got :-
overheat issue or phone cannot power on??
button problem?
higher ram consumption?
a lot defect units?

I am planning to get 1 tomolo...hehehe
hope to get some feedback...
Thanks thumbup.gif

Like any other Plex client, Plex on Android requires the device to have the broadest format support it can have before it can playback the streamed movies. In your case, it sounds like your Note does not have some of the video codecs required to play the movie itself.

Here's my Plex Advanced Settings:-

- Secondary Media Player = Play OpenGL Player. Leaving it on Plex Player will force it to play only on the built-in "Videos" app that comes with your Note. OpenGL Player makes sure it plays a wider variety of file format. I believe this only comes as an option when you have additional third party video players installed. Mine is the excellent DICE Player.

- Direct Play = Offer Choice of Direct Play. Depending on how fast your connection is, leaving it enabled will result in long caching/buffering for a movie to play especially if the movie is of higher definition.

- Enable Direct Streaming ticked

- AV Sync Offset = -2ms. This is only to compensate for high bitrate MKV files with 6 channel sound downmixed to stereo.

- Less Color/More Speed = *depends* Initially I had to tick it to get a movie running, as the frame rates starts stuttering. After I set "Secondary MEdia Player" as "Plex OpenGL Player", I've unpicked this and it plays smoothly without stutter, and the colors are more vibrant. In short, if your movies stutters or choppy, tick this on.

- leave "Enable Good Day Mate" and "Bonjour/ZeroConf" ticked as well.

Also, if you are using Plex to play "anywhere" instead of just at home within your WiFi network, sign up for myPlex and log in into myPlex on both your Android and server PC/MAc running at home. Depending on how fast your connection is (3G/4G), your movies will need to buffer and or the picture quality will be degraded as your connection worsen. In my case, I'm using Yes4G at 10-13Mbps so it only buffers slightly but maintain picture quality.Bear in mind this will eat your data allocation like mad, and is not advisable unless you have unlimited data. Also, you can set the bitrate you're comfortable with on the "Remote Plex" and "Plex over 3G/4G" settings to whatever connection your line is able to stream at. Leaving it at "Auto Select" is fine, but as you move from areas of good connection to worse, so does the movie streaming quality will degrade/upgrade accordingly.

I think in your case, you might wanna try installing DICE Player, which is a paid option. Moboplayer is free, you may want to try that and see if that helps. I prefer DICE as it is the only player that supports hardware acceleration.

Depends on your plan. I think for 68, after 3GB is limited to 128kbps as per their reminder sms.

Now only got time to unbox it and took few photos.
I just stick the sp and change the case.
First impression, It feel more secure and solid compare to samsung flip case.
This is the most easiest sp I stick before usually I need do twice only can get in nice positon but this sp only once biggrin.gif
After sticking the sp, I realise the screen are more reflecting compare without the sp.
The bad thing is it's kinda hard to press the on off button and the volume button sweat.gif
Here is some photo

I've no conclusive evidence, but I have since uninstalled Juice Defender after I've moved on to ADW EX, and I don't have random reboots anymore. I've used Watchdog to check which apps misbehaving and more often than not, it's Juice Defender. TW Launcher(built-in TouchWiz) is certainly more problematic than ADW EX, I had that disabled as well as I moved to ADW EX.

Am certainly not gonna downclock, that'll negate the advantage of buying a specced-up phablet in the first place.
