Those interested in movie management app on the Android, can opt for Plex for Android. Movies are in fact streamed from your server (Mac or Windows) to your Android device, and plays on your Android device, wherever you are. Yes, even when you're walking outside of your home WiFi coverage, or overseas on a hotel WiFi. The app logs onto your myPlex account, and transcode/streams the movies on-the-fly to be viewed on your device. This alleviates the need to have huge storage space on your Android device and you have access to all your movies you left back home.
Plex for Android also works as a WiFi remote for your Plex Media Server/Player on your Mac/Windows so that when your movies are playing on the big screen HDTV at home, the app smartly detects that it is connected to a server and turns itself into a remote where you can control and browse content on your movie server. Infinitely better than any WDLive/AppleTV/<insert China-made media player> out there.

Your server version has to be Plex "Laika", a.k.a the .9.5.1 release to enjoy the "watch streamed movies anywhere" feature.

Notice that when you're installing games, the APK file is less than 10MB in size but the additional download are not stored in that 1.97GB storage space, it is installed in the 11.xGB space instead. You have o understand how Android allocates what files where, so this is not an issue.

lol.... i guess you will need to "boh song" for quite a while coz many of us still searching for the "perfect" SP.
it is normal to pay for overpriced accessories when we are shopping for gadgets - i also pay much higher for a neck strap for my DSLR when i bought it at the camera shop coz I thought the shop will give me better price as I am buying it together with the DSLR but apparently all those gadgets shop will sell you the main items at normal price (coz you can easily verify the prices from some other places) and then recoup additional profits from the accessories. So lesson learnt - buy only the main gadget from shop and all others accessories from LYN only.
He also said he is a Samsung Elite Partner!! But how can he mark up the price like that? I pity mo Mom. She really wanted Note cause it's bigger cause he eyes are pretty bad. One of the main reason she went for the S2 was for the screen size but of course she preferred the Note but it was RM600 more according to the shop. Haih. Now I don't know whether I should tell her or not.
If i were you and mom really wanted Note then i'll go back to the shop and ask for a phone change (with a little top up, of course) Note RRP is RM2299. You can get a bit lower but not higher. And your SGSII price is expensive. You can get a G version at RM1.7K or even RM1.6K now for black colour. Go back to the shop and exchange the SGSII with Note and you top up RM400. No need antivirus. You can download FREE from Android market. ~~good luck~~
done already thanks to acer laptops ! anyway thank you for your kind and generous offer. if there ever were to be a gathering for galaxy note users, i'd buy u a drink.
More Plex for Android in action, this time in the TV Show section. Plex automatically culls TV show and movie metadata so that once it has done its content sweep, you will get all that juicy cover art, show details, etc. TV shows are more manageable to consume/watch streamed while outside since the file size is smaller.
Another good reason why Plex is a good option is that, it streams, therefore it bypasses that 4GB file size restriction on Android. That "Deathly Hallows Part 2" movie is in 1080p, at 11.74GB and it plays without a hitch on the Galaxy Note.
Also on that YouTube clip is a demo of "3" Music Player. I'm a stickler for nice awesome music presentation music player, or any apps that are well presented for that matter (hence why I stick to apps like Plex and "3"). "3" also culls album metadata automatically, and can even offer album cover choices. Also a very nice presentation in cube-like 3D and a wall of album art covers.

I've been reading through all the comments, sharing and information that posted from "Samsung Galaxy Note" v2 (from page 40) till v3 (till page 50)
And I kept lots of information regarding Android OS, Samsung Galaxy Note, etc etc (papago, root, case, screen protector,.....) into the words file for my own reference.
attaching the file here as for those who 1st reading this forum. It's good information to go through rather than asking the same question again. (sorry... it's messy... no time to properly organize it)
cheers
