Did you guy realise after taking photo using camera and wanna view in preview and the picture are very dark but view on computer are fine?

2 way on Screen shot done at firmware DXKK1
1.  Use S-pen method - Press button at S-Pen , Tap and Hold on the screen
2. Use your hand like "Knife" Hold it screen at position Right - Swipe to left slowly

For some reason I felt that kka is not as smooth as kk1. Anyone experiencing this as well?

for several days i've tried rooting but still no success. i've rooted my samsung vibrant previously, my friend's i9000 and countless other phones but this time i'm actually giving up on my note.

i've installed kies for adb,
used the easiest method which is updated few days ago for root+cwm, even tried zergrush also still no success.

what am i missing sigh .......
after the cmd prompt, i hit any key but its telling me waiting for device either that or daemon not started, starting now .....and it all ends there for hours.

Just want to check any one have this problem too..just got mine unit last night and have this strange marks..izzit normal or should i send for warranty?

I’ve a strange problem with the screen of my Note, I noticed this when switching off the phone in a complete dark room. The screen turns dark grey for a split second before switching off, this is when I noticed some strange black marks beneath the screen.

I made a jpeg to replicate this problem (1st attachment), along with a screen capture of the marks (2nd attachment). Can somebody please download the picture and check to see if there are any marks on their phone?

You need to be in a complete dark room for this to work, it helps if you turn the screen brightness to 100% and allow a bit of time for your eyes to adjust to the dark.

I also added roughly what the marks look like.

feel like selling off my note...been using for a week, but still not get use of it...no doubt, screen was damn huge...this is de onli benefit i gained...S pen, at 1st i though it will be very usefull, but after trying it, actually it was not...i m a heavy user...note battery also can last me from 8am to 7pm, tat all....

from iphone user to android, i trying my best to convince myself to give a try for android. but somehow it not....i use a lot of wat apps, email, typing is crucial for me...although iphone screen is smaller le, but i can type very very fast compare to note...(mayb i not use to it yet)

talkbox, no push notification in when u close de apps....fb apps, a lot of function was diabled in android compare to iphone...

most importantly, iphone provide 1 click to main function, where else android will have more step to complete 1 task...this is de main thing i found out from android...a lot of unnecessary step.

You've answered your own question already. The MKVs downloaded are already stripped down. Compressing it further, you might as well just use a lower resolution movie.

The thing is, the Note is advertised to play MKVs and XviDs, but the 4GB limitation means its limited to lower bitrate videos at 720p resolution only. Adding AC3 5.1 only bloats its further.

"Avatar Extended Edition" clocks in at 3.8GB MP4 so that is dangerously close to the limit. It looks phenomenal though, thanks to the Note's deep black levels. Which is the reason why I picked a black Galaxy Note over the white, makes movie watching experience seamless, instead of an obvious white border on the white Note.

Just tried a display set just now its a huge dinosaur and the screen was so clear!

Damn! Even after upgraded the Firmware to .DXKK1 also cannot enable the Screenshot... I felt very dumb using Android... What did I do wrong?

Install free app Font Changer , download from market
Download the fonts from above link. After extract - copy it to /sdcard/.fontchanger
launch Font Changer and it will detect the new font ; tap and select it

I have rooted my sgn using zergrush exploit, and now would like to try custom rom and do nandroid backup. Do I need to unroot first before apply cf with cwm method? I have tried running d I hv already rooted.bat file but my pc show not compatible file message.
