Ask a noob q: how can I backup my data n apps to external sd using titanium backup? If I install custom ROM, will my backup saved in internal sd be wiped?

What do you mean by compatible file message? If you have rooted then there is no reason you should unroot ever.just download custom ROM and flash away.

But I need to do nandroid backup before I flash new rom. I am without cwm now.

install chainfire kernel ( select appropriate file to match your kernel) than you will have cwm. From cwm than you can do a nandroid backup

Ya, I hv downloaded d kernel file and replace d zimage folder. But when I executing d "already-rooted.bat" file, my pc give me "this is not compactible x32 file system" message.

Anyone already apply screen protector and does the screen protecter have micro scratches from the S-Pen usage? I am using Nillkin brand and there are many micro scratches. Any specific Screen protector brand that is good for S-Pen?

I have tried sgp and Martin fields before, both are satisfactory. Though never use with spen before.

hi all, please help on this, i going to root my Note, but fail. i dont know why fail it. please help me on this.

first, i follow V3, page 1 instruction, go to this website, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1329360

then i follow the simplied setup, download this file,

I have Kernel KK1 - Download This - and Extract

i unzip and got the file, then connect phone to pc via usb cable,
then click "I am non-rooted.bat" then a DOS black command box come, then i enter key, then it mention "waiting for device" then nothing happen liao.

so some question to ask.
a) in a DOS command box, it mentioned i need to install the adb driver before start, what is adb driver? where to get it?

b) when i connect my phone to pc via usb cable, should i turn on the "connect USB storage".

c) what should i do now to root my NOTE?

Hv u installed samsung kies? let kies detect ur note first then only start the bat file in command prompt.

actually, i was just thinking about this a few days back... the note is heavier than the sgs2... so  the note dropping on hard floor surface could actually crack the screen... unlike sgs2 (most probably would have seen the video comparing sgs2 and iphone4).

i guess your case confirms this fear... sad to hear about your case. do let us know how much is a replacement screen from samsung...

Oops...not so bad actually. just a minor scratch on the glass and small dent at the bezel...
