Hey there, any Volkswagen Polo or Polo GTI owners? Care to share your feedback? As I'm contemplating to get the Polo or the Polo GTI. I am quite fond of the Polo GTI however the price is the reason on why I'm still holding back. So any of you who drive either Polo or Polo GTI, I'd like to hear your opinions & feedback of the car.. smile.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

Hey guys,

Any of you looking to upgrade your golf tsi/jetta rims to 17? I saw a few running on the scirocco 1.4 17inch rims and it looks really good.

Anyway I'm thinking of letting go of my rims. Anyone interested pm me ya?

I believe that they are well aware of the DSG7 issue. So I'd like to think that the DSG update is their solution to that.

I guess they wouldn't know themselves how well it'll solve the problem (only slows down the wear and tear or fix it permanently) until sometime later. It better not be like my previous Samsung washing machine, 1 year warranty and it konk out during the 13th month. >_<

Like I said before, if u scare and doubt about their after service, don't invest in their products. Get something else for peace of your money. Don't simply make wild guess and relate with your washing machine. Does those statement solved your yet coming soon dsg problem?

You can set in MFD if want the main-headlight to switch on or not.

Of course it'll affect the battery in some ways, since it is pulling power from the battery while the engine is not started.
Same as listening to radio/CD when the engine is turned off.

How to set if MFD?
I want to put the light in auto mode (driving), but I don't want it to be auto switch on when I unlock my car...

Sound like dxmn good deal, thats 17% off and should had well covered the 1 year depreciation..
Hows the mileage? If its a totally brand new car, its good. They will still provide you new car hirepurchase rate, 5 yr warranty + 5 yr mobility assist.

I got my Polo Sport at ~12k discounted, demo unit with 2000km clocked, good thing is thats a 2012 model.. smile.gif

Huh? The DSG update being the solution to the common DSG failure is a wild guess? Haha I'm sorry you had a bad day but you picked on the wrong guy. And again, last I checked, basic human rights still allows me to buy something even if I have concern about the products' reliability. To put it in a nicer way, I have reservations about each car in my list of potential to-buy list, and this is still the car I liked most after weighing all factors.

And I don't care what you said before, if ppl do something even if you 'have said' not to do it. That may just very well mean that ppl do not agree with you and is decent enough to just ignore your comment.

Yes, mentioning the washing machine helped me to illustrate clearly my fear that this DSG update might just be delaying the failure. I'm not the first person to say all these, read up other forums pal. And please, be in peace and don't throw ppl your bad attitude.

And lastly, no. None of what I mentioned will help solve the DSG problem. But just in case you logged into the wrong forum, this is not the VW engineer forum, this is the lowyat forum... Where ppl just share random thoughts...

If you read my earlier post, I said it floats like a boat when going over speed bumps. means body roll is quite evident n engine noise is much louder than my 1.4

and to the masses, want to try lobbying for 1.4, 6 dsg setup in Mk7? like to get a golf but want 6dsg for peace of mind.

IMO, however, doubt VGM will replace GB setup for 1.4 coz it will show that they acknowledge 7dsg is not good, design wise.

after the dsg update for seven speed, the shifting is really smooth especially for the first 3 gear.

power are still the same imo.

Car stationary.
Scroll to settings, IINM under Lights
There is a Coming Home / Leaving Home.
Tick the lights you want.

Leaving Home means you go towards your car and unlock to drive away. You can set the lights you want.
Coming Home means you reach destination, get down and lock the car.

Join vwclubmalaysia.net, check out the commercial posting there. I remember seeing the one without 'GTI', it's plain without any words actually.

Can anyone tell me how long it took before VW deliver the car to them after loan approve and all? I bought my car from Cergaz TTDI

My loan approved yesterday and all but the sales still can't give me a definite date until tomorrow. This wait is killer mad.gif

The car is supposedly ex-stock but does it still take like a week or something or is it faster before they release it to you?

Appreciate any feedback

Your car still needs to go through Puspakom inspection, PDI, K9 customs declaration form, clearance of duties, registration with JPJ and (if not paid already) clearance of the remaining 10% (or whatever amount not covered by the loan) payment. All in all, probably a week's time of work
