my shih tzu is going to get extrem makeover today so errrr cant imagine..almost hairless shih tzu....pass few days go on holiday dont know wat the maid did she wash then almost every part of the body hair tangle.the lady said nice fur but cant save..if cut the tangle part later not equal....alamak~~~ so heartache...

jtl's shop is at mentari park..opposite pyramid there. there's a Mcd 1..same row but at different building. think got blackwood oso..

when bobo is 4 months old i din soak the kibbles o..jz let her eat dry kibbles..but i heard my housemates said hav to soak 1st ge wor...

hairless???? aiyo...poor doggie..hopefully after the make over ur shih tzu stil looks cute n pretty..how long it takes for the fur to grow back?

my Hepy is 3 months old now - i give him hard kibbles too. Didn't soak and he neva choke himself. He doesn't eat like a greedy pig but he bite bite bite first then baru telan. When i bought him home, he was 2 months plus and i gave him hard kibbles already. His teeth are starting to grow - can see white lining .. hahaha .. Cute!! I wonder how he looks like when all the teeth are fully grown.

Oh yea, when I had my first shih tzu last time .. he was 3 mnoths old and I gave him hard kibbles too. He ate like a hungry monster - scary!! But he neva get choked too. Sometimes, he eat half way, he will kentut one .

Hihi,i'm new in here. This is my shih tzu. He damn noughty fellou. He love to bite ppl. When i put him at high place, he will very scare until dun move hehe but he pee and poo everywhere , haih...so headache everytime clean it . Guys do u all have any solution o advise ma? Thanks You all very much!!!

When u take ur shihtzu go grooming next time, try ask the groomer not to cut the front into U (terbalik it) shape again. Leave it long and tie a knot in front - nicer look . And hor, if you keep that part long, the hair won't poke ur shih tzu's eyes and there won't be much tear too . Cute shihtzu you have there!!

Jackeiy0711, try training your pup to pee and poo in newspaper or toilet

junnie, how u train ur pup to pee poo at newspaper ?? I failed to do it with Hepy - so down. Sigh!! I can't estimate his pee poo timing and he jz pee or poo whenever he feels like it. This morning he took his breakfast and took hsi dinner and until now still have'nt poo at all. Sigh. I really can't estimate his pee poo timing at all.

hahah.. patient patient.. how old is Hepy? There are few ways to do it

1) Put a stack of newspaper on the urine (When Hepy has peed on the floor), turn that newspaper over and let it dry. Put that stack of newspaper on the doorstep
2) Put some of the newspaper at the place where Hepy likes to pee and poo
3) When you see him having the action of pee or poo, quickly grab a stack of this paper and shove it under his butt or quickly bring him to the newspaper.
4) If you got put Hepy in cage, I assume that you will have a tray under the cage right? Put newspaper on the tray and put back in the cage

Of course you can't predict Hepy's time for pee and poo, I cant do that also.. But you can know through his action. When he smells around, he wants to pee. When he make rounds and feel like squatting, then he wants to poo..

Hepy is 3 months old now. Going to take his 2nd Jab on 22nd May. I got keep his daily routine up to date in MS thread . Today he did something which really made me super angry. First time in history, he peed a hell lot on my bed. My tilam was 1/2 WET by him . So sad and down. I had to wash my tilam and let it dry under the sun (dunno for how many days) - sigh. I'll try out ur method.

So, basically, ur method is just to put newspapers at places where Hepy likes to pee?? is that right? Let him know he needs to pee poo on newspaper. Is that right? But after I put a stack of newspapers in the tray, I got cover the newspaper with floormats to prevent him from stepping his own urine wor.

No digestion problem ler. He eats like normal and drink like normal. Last time my shih tzu also same problem. Kenot predict the timing one. That's why I very xian mu all those ppl who can predict their dog's pee/poo timing and those who managed to successfully housebreak their doggies.

Hahahahahaha ... headache right?? Causing lotsa chaos and headaches at home if like that.

Before that i stay at terrace i train billy go out side pee and poo but now i shift in to the flat so need to teach him to go other place (paper or toilet) there pee and poo. How if i wanna train him go toilet do his businese??? now every morning i will bring him go inside the toilet and ask him to pee and poo but it doesn't work when he go at living room he start pee and poo haih...so headache

My Fifi like can poo 3 to 4 times a day leh.....

Weekdays, i need to go to work, so schedule as below:
Morning after or b4 breakfast, must poo.
Then 30minutes play time, back to cage.
After work around 6.30pm, dinner, then poo.
Night, around 10pm, sometimes poo, sometimes dunt.

Weekends, no need work, so no need to cage fifi except bed time.
Morning after or b4 breakfast, poo.
Since she roam free during weekdays, afternoon around 12pm, poo.
Dinner 7pm, sometimes poo sometimes dont.
Night around 10pm, sometimes poo sometimes dont. If 7pm poo, 10pm might not poo.
Sometimes poo at both 7pm and 10pm.....

How to train her like, poo 2 times, morning and evening?? or puppy usually poo more times??

ur Fifi how old liao?? Or is it all puppies don't have exact timing for pee poo?? Last time my shihtzu (3 months old) is worse than hepy. That fat shihtzu never make it once to the tray at all - sigh!!

This morning I leash Hepy and put him near to the tray ma. I wetn to bathroom to gosok gigi. I came out, he pooped about 30 cm away from the tray . I got take him to the tray and let him smell his own urine and poo smell ler. Why he still dun want to pee poo inside the tray ler??? So geram ar. I really duno how to housebreak. When i take him to the tray, i ask him shee shee, he dun want. He stare at me and smile . Then when I left the room for a few minutes, he terus pee poo on floor next to the tray. He just don't want to go to the tray!!!! He will not dirty his own little feet in the tray ler coz I put floormat on top of the newspapers.

Same wit my situation. Every morning i bring my billy go toilet and tell him shee shee and oh shi at here, he stare at me like blur blur dunno wat i'm talking about around 10minute he pee poo at living room. haih.. Now my Billy is 1+years old ady. It that very hard to train him pee poo in toilet??

If i walk aways from Billy, he will bark like hell the situation like i leave him away. Really hope my billy will 'gui gui' sit at home when i go out working. Very scare scare my neighbour will complain.

To housebreak ah....i think u need to spend around 1 hour for each session.
Wat i did last time to housebreak fifi as below. U can take as a reference.
1st week:
Morning, open cage, carry her to paper and wait for her to pee. She'll be happy and wanna play. Just ignore her, sit there diam diam. She leave the paper, carry her back. If she pee on floor, say NO.....then fast fast carry to paper. After finish peeing on paper, give treats.
After breakfast, same, carry her to the paper, dun play wif her, wait for her to poo. See her turn round, sniff sniff, say NO........and carry her to the paper. After poo on paper, treat again.
After work, open cage, carry her to paper wait her pee.
After feeding, wait her poo.
Night time, play time at the living room. See her sniff sniff n squat down, say NO.......bring her to paper. Confirm got accident and peee dripping one, just clean them loh.....

2nd week.
Morning, open cage, no more carry her. Lure her to paper, wait her pee then only let her leave the paper. After pee treats.....After breakfast, let her roam in the leaving room. See her in poo stance, say NO......carry to paper to poo, then treats.
After work, lure her to paper to pee again, treats. After dinner, wait her poo, then treats again.

3rd week,
Same as 2nd week. Only change is when see her in poo stance, say NO....push her abit and lure her to paper to poo. If cannot, same, carry her to newspaper.
By this week, fifi already get the idea, pee and poo on paper. This time i dun carry, just say NO..... i stand near the paper. See her wanna poo or pee on the floor. Say NO......then point to the paper. Use the finger to hit the paper to make some noise to attract her sight. If she still pee and poo on the floor, do back the same thing, fast fast carry to paper, then point to mess on the floor, scold her, then pick up poo or pee, put on the paper let her smell. Then scold again, then cage her for punishment.

4th week.
Now fifi already house-broken. When open cage, will automatically go to paper to pee. After her breakfast, i let her roam free. I brush teeth, change clothes. When i finish, she'll got poo on the paper liao. Then i clean the poo, treats again loh.
Afte work, open cage, auto pee and poo, then treats loh.
Night, play time, auto pee and poo also.

There's one point i notice that, although fifi knows where to pee and poo, but she likes to pee and poo on clean surface. If the paper is wet or too dirty, she wont wanna pee or poo there. If i change it to a clean paper, she'll fast fast go pee and poo there.
I think shih tzu r harder to train, thats y takes almost a month. Hope that helps lah...
PS:Although many do not agree and i myself also heart-pain, but i do cane FIFI as punishment.

Thank ur information. I think i need double patien bz my billy ady 1+years old ady rite? but if i put him inside cage for punishment i think he will bark like hell . i will try to think other way to punish him
