anyone knows where got good groomer for shih tzu in kl? i need one to groom my pups before cny...

Even if the parents have MKA, it is too late to apply for MKA for the pups. Your friend need to register for MKA when the parents of the pups mate, register again when the pups are born out, and register again later with all the details of the pup. Then, MKA will provide the microchip and next, you will wait for few months to obtain the MKA cert from MKA. If your friend did not register for MKA when the parents mate, then it is not possible for the pups to get MKA.

If he's charging you RM 600 or below, then it's an okay price to get the pup but of course, the pup comes without MKA and microchip.

it's correct. There's alot of registration need to be done to get the pups to have the MKA. So maybe your friend didnt plan to mate his dogs (accident) or maybe he doesnt want to cause so much trouble in order to get the MKA for the pups, so he didnt register..

1) MKA is Malaysia Kennel Association
2) MIcrochip contains a long serial number. THe mirochip is implanted in the neck or back of the pup. Why we need to implant a microchip into a pup? This is for us to identify our pup. FOr example, if we suspect our neighbor steal our pup, then we can take the pup for scanning and identify the pup.
3) Most people prefer male as they think female is too troublesome (with their period that occurs half a year once). Male pup is fun to have but he may grow up with rebellious attitude. For instance, when he sees a female dog, he will urine at places to mark territory. HE will do the same thing if he sees a male dog. For female dog, she's more obedient and clean. Though she may have her period one year twice, you can solve the problem by getting her a sanitary pants for dogs. Problem solved then.
4) Purebreed shih tzu with MKA is selling about RM 750-RM 1000. Depends on who is selling and what quality you want in the pup. WIthout MKA is only RM 600 or below.

RM 600 or below. I'm not quite sure about this. But i heard that only MKA dogs come with microchip. So i dont think your friend's pups can go for microchip.

try this way..
once your bobo peed already on the floor, use a stack of newspaper (4-5 pieces) and put onto of the urine and turn back as the newspaper got urine already right?? let the newspaper dried with urine and put in your bobo's cage or playpen.. once she get the smell of the urine on the newspaper, she'll go pee and poo there.. of course, it requires patience from you as you need to guard the dog constantly.

normally puppy will pee once he wakes up from sleep, after eating to poo..

pay more attention to bobo's behavior during the weekend when you are free.. then you know her behavior more to train her for pee pee and poo poo..

yes, it's better to trim the fur around poo poo hole.. if not, you need to clean your shih tzu's poo poo hole all the time

glad it works.. continue with the work.. once Bobo knows that he needs to pee on newspaper, he'll go for newspaper.. praise him alot when you see him pee or poo on newspaper.. then he'll know he's doing a right thing.. once he get used to pee and poo on the newspaper in the toilet, try training him to do it in your room or living room... set a few places with newspaper so he knows where to go when he wants to pee or poo..

i'm feeding my dogs with innova (evo). result is good. coat become shiner and less tangle..

not quite sure with royal canin. i'm feeding my dogs with innova (evo). result is good. coat become shiner and less tangle.. try feeding with cod liver oil.. result is better!!

i heard from some shops that royal canin is good for cats only but not for dogs.. that's why i never feed my babies with royal canin but innova..

Added on March 26, 2007, 11:00 pmif you want to change to innova, can change step by step by mixing royal canin dog food with innova. yes, you can feed bobo with cod liver oil.. he will dislikes the taste the first time you feed him, but once he tried, he'll beg for more

ahah.. he still pee and poo around?? as i know, you can get innova one of the pet shop in taipan, paws' something... a lady speaks mandarin or in petaling street at petsmore..

he said i love my babies more than him.. .

yes yes.. even when they make us angry, we wont stay angry for long..

Added on March 27, 2007, 2:15 pmdont judge some brand and think that they are good because they are famous.. some pet food company spent alot of money advertising so that their food will be well-recognised..

check for the pet food ingredients in order to compare which dog food is the better one.. however, need to see whether your dog likes to eat that brand or not.. if not, still wasted..

for me, yes.. innova is quite pricy. rm 29 for 1.5 kg but the result is worthy.. as long as my babies are healthy with nice coat, i'm happy with the result.. so spend more also i'm willing to do so.

you wont know my two babies.. they can act cute and next second, you can see the whole roll of tissue torn to pieces.. can imagine??

for those huge advertised dog food, i meant eukanuba, alpo, pedigree, science plan.. you always see in pet shop, they have huge banner for eukanuba or science plan. well my bet is the company is offering a lower price for thier dog food so that shop will purchase more from them and thus, their name will be more well-recognised.

as you see, innova, canidae, eagle pack and etc etc are not so well-recognised because the price for these dog food is too high and the pet shops wont earn much, due to the high price of the products. not many people are willing to spend RM 29 for a 1.5 kg dog food, RM 168 for 15 kg..

let's say a family with two dogs or more, you think they are willing to spend RM 29 for a pack of dog food which can last for one week only or RM 47 for a pack of dog food which can last them one month? Eukanuba, science plan and blackwood is consider as good dog food but not with very good ingredients if compare to Innova, Canidae, Eagle pack, California Natural..

I have tried to went to a pet shop in Serdang to ask for Innova dog food. The gal there gave a shocked look, asked me you feed with Innova.. She said the ingredients very good but too pricy, not many people are willing to pay such price to feed their dogs..

dont simply change just because you heard this one good or that one is good.. see whether your furkids like it or not and any improvement, if the condition got worse, then the situation aint favorable..

patience patience.. bet your pup will learn soon where to pee and poo..

for sit, try this way..
show your pup that you are holding a snack and then put the snack in your hand like fist, not tight tight la.. then let her smell..
then put your hand high up above your pup's head, this will automatically make her sit. once you notice her butt is going down to sit position, say sit..
once you see her sitting, give her the snack.
repeat this action for 10-15 times.. until you notice that your pup recognise the word sit.. then she can learn sit already!!!!

haha.. patience lo.. why dont want to put your bobo in your room? pity her always in toilet. Still in process of training her to pee and poo on newspaper? both mine is well trained.. luckilky, if not i pengsan.

Added on March 30, 2007, 2:51 pmhaha.. when puppy, normally they will step back on the peed newspaper, so you must pay more attention to them.. see they pee already, faster faster pick them up so that they wont step on it... once they peed on the newspaper, i pack that newspaper and throw it away lo.. then they will have fresh newspaper.. pee and poo at the same newspaper.. maybe your pup is eager to play so thinkin ' i fast fast pee finish and play'

Added on March 30, 2007, 2:58 pmfirst injection is 6 weeks old, second injection is 8 weeks old, third injection is 10 weeks old. sometimes it varies between each vet. some is 6 weeks old for 1st injection, 10 weeks old for 2nd injection and 22 weeks old for 3rd injection. you can go to different vet but must remember to bring your vaccination card along..

for injection, price varies depending on what shots you want for bobo.. there are 6-in-1, 7-in-1 till 10-in-1, each injection prevent some virus, like 6-in-1 prevents parvovirus, 7-in-1 prevents parvovirus and coronavirus while 10-in-1 prevents all virus.. of course the price is more expensive lo..
