yaya..play pen..fence oni. she can regconize the newspaper? do i hv to spray the housebreaking aid on it 1st n let her smell? i think tis weekend reali hav to spend some time teach her d..tis morning let her out frm toilet she stil pee in my room try to catch her to toilet when she wanna start pee pee..but she's very fast ler..

LOL i bought the spray b4 but it was of no use. i think she will u have to use a specific word lor. in my case i use PEE PEE then she know d, auto go newspaper pee. she pee-ed back the same spot or what? haha when u see her smelling the floor..round and round...then its a SIGN that she wanted to do her business.

my guess she is renting..since she mention her friends dont share the love of pets...to answer ur question; shih tzu loves company.reallyyy stick to anyone! they cant live alone for a long period of time.so on radio or tv to keep her entertain or better still u are the best company shih tzu wants.and also pls groom ur shih tzu every day so that the fur wont get tangle...bath her once a week with conditioner and trim her nails once every 2 weeks or a month...
toliet training takes paitence...so start off with where she normally pee soak it with the newspaper and put it at the place u desire her to pee..so next time if u see wanting to pee quickly bring her over to that newspaper and coax her to do so.whenever she pees at the wrong spot.firmly say no , beat her backside and bring her to the place where she suppose to relieve herself.once she does that;praise and reward her

sometimes she pee at the same place...like floor mat. but sometimes nope..pee everywhere..usually after puppy eat or drink how long wil it takes for them to pee or poo? i feed her morning n nite..but the time she pee pee canot b estimated de. btw, where can i get a cage wit affordable price? i bought bobo dog's food nearby my office in bangsar..the price is so expensive

if ehr room's flooring is paraquet type then must use tray to train her dog pee

babymiki:my room n toilet floor both r tiles..but different type lo. the play pen is 4 pieces..everytime i put her inside she wil bark nonstop..i tot of buying her those cage wit tray so she wont step on her pee/poo..

i see. i use rolled up newspaper to smack my dog's nose (not directly, but nearby) to make her stop barking. in 2 days time, she diam diam jor. i have to do it, cause i'm stayin in a condo.

btw, i clean my dog's ear with ear wax, apply 2 drops..massage the ear, then dig with cotton bud. i do this everytime after bath.

i'm not sure shih tzu need to put eye drop or not.

Oooo...wil try it when she barks. but she's kinda extreme 1..duno wil stop barking onot hehe..condo can rare dogs 1 ar? so geng de...

t3ngt3ng,maybe she has mites? try searching if there is any mites between her paw behind her ears and under her chin.these are the prone areas.i remember seeing a spray for scratching...to stop the dog from stracthing...but how effective im not sure.if the coat still tangles...trim the problem areas and maybe soak conditioner/olive oil and leave it on for an hour then wash (like spa treatment at saloon) this is what groomers do...about the cage,maybe u can search from the net.someone selling economic stuff online for pets product...

Added on March 23, 2007, 10:53 ampuppies are like that...even human babies...they have hard time controlling their urges to poo or pee.but as time passes,ull notice that she has a routine when to poo and how she reacts when she wants to...by then u must get ready and show her where to relive herself and coax her to do so...u can buy dog food from major petstores like petswonderland or pet safari with members card....

recently i discover that my girl got some skin problem, but not much.
I also dunno how to describe, its like a small pimple, but already dried up, just one under her armpit, and one at her tummy......is it mites?? or just normal pimple.
Previosly there is another one at the other side of the tummy, but that one dried up, and the scar peeled off liao. I din see her scratching the affected area, but just wanna know wats that, or need wat kind of treatment.
And i just trim her hair near her butt, coz every time she poo, got some poo stick on it, dirty.........so ok ah i just cut the hair around her poo hole??

i think when ur furkid urine cause those small pimple which is dried up wan and perhpas after u have to wipe ur furkid tummy and wee wee and poo poo part next time . is more hygiene .

hmm , yeah those fur which arund her poo poo area sure will stick with some poo after ur furkid poo . is ok to trim those fur around the poo area , but have to careful ya .

when ur bobo barks, scold her lor. Scold her super loud and in a stern tone. Then you carry her up and continue to scold her loud loud and remember to LOOK STRAIGHT into her eyes. Stare at her with devil eyes as if you're going to eat her up and scold her nonstop while you're staring right into her eyes. You will notice that she won't dare to look at u and will try and look elsewhere... LOL. That's how I train my Lucky not to simply bark. I'll pick him up from his playpen and stare direct into his eyes while scolding him loud loud. THen put him back into the play pen and there he goes .... sitting quietly on da floor.

oo..mayb i shud try to scold her louder..i alwaz scold or use newspaper hit the floor hard hard sked her, she oso not afraid de..stil so fierce...extremely notty 1.. today after feed her i wait for her to pee oni let her out frm the toilet..luckily she pee on the tray wit newspaper..but at nite later she pee on my floor mat again after tat poo inside the toilet..i think coz she happen to b in the toilet gua..if not she wil poo anywhere oso..

try this way..
once your bobo peed already on the floor, use a stack of newspaper (4-5 pieces) and put onto of the urine and turn back as the newspaper got urine already right?? let the newspaper dried with urine and put in your bobo's cage or playpen.. once she get the smell of the urine on the newspaper, she'll go pee and poo there.. of course, it requires patience from you as you need to guard the dog constantly.

normally puppy will pee once he wakes up from sleep, after eating to poo..

pay more attention to bobo's behavior during the weekend when you are free.. then you know her behavior more to train her for pee pee and poo poo..

yes, it's better to trim the fur around poo poo hole.. if not, you need to clean your shih tzu's poo poo hole all the time

LOL when your puppy barks, do not scream or scold her on the top of ur lungs. the louder u go, the noisier she will be. just grab her neck, shake it a lil, and said NO. or use the rolled up newspaper way.

No wor .. I didn't shake him. I pick him up and stare into his eyes with fire flaring in my eyes. THen I continously scold him at the same time, looking directly into his eyes. So, he got the message. Whenever he starts whining or wanna bark loud loud and I look at him and say "mmmmm" in a stern voice, he'll stop automatically.... hahahah ..

LOL yaya i got make the MMMM sound. but she's not scared of me one. only scared of my. everytime kena whack, sure run to me. and this morning she pee-ed on the paraquet floor! her pee all soaked inside liao. damn

LoL.....how old is ur doggie?? I din manage to toilet train my Lucky. I only manage to train him to come, sit, stay, no, and up.
