hi bro. i cant connect internet from 3 days ago... my white modem is okay.. dsl internet all got green light... and on my dir615 router.. internet got orange light... and others got yellow light... what happend.. should i change the router or? called 100 over and over but cant reach

You shouldn't call 100. 100 is for Streamyx/Homeline. Call 1300881221 instead. This number charges you 4 cents per min for 2nd min onwards. I forgot the rate for first min. 14cents or 10cents, something like that. Ask them reset your port see how. If cannot then look into unifi athena handbood(athena.unifi.my) then try the direct connection between your pc and the White Modem see if it's TM side problem or just your router problem. If router problem, you choose to let tm replace or you buy a replacement. Mind you, modem has only 1 year warranty. If over that period of time, don't bother let TM replace it as it's not worth it. Get replacement on your own.

if Rm100 enough to settle for them to put my IPTV point & deck phone on ground floor, and internet modem/router at 1st floor then i'll be very glad...
i found my way... bug the 1300 as much as possible and have them send the Siebel thing to my email after everytime i make 1 call

3rd, THIRD!!!! installation appoinment made this saturday... if tak jadi i really have to give up...

My setup is almost like yours:

Ethernet switch - 2nd Floor
BTU, UniFi Router, Airport Extreme - 1st Floor
IPTV, Ethernet Switch - Ground Floor

The difference is that my DECT phone is on the 1st Floor next to the BTU. Never thought of putting in a separate phone cable for UniFi's VOIP.

The individual floors in my house are wired for Ethernet. Between the floors, I've got one cable from G to 1st and one from 1st to 2nd but I'm short of one network point for the IPTV. So for the IPTV, I'm using HomePlug adaptors to bring it down to the living room.

Anyway do you really want the UniFi contractors to pull cabling in the inside of your house? I would be concern about their workmanship. The reason I asked them to put it upstairs is so that they only have one hole to drill.

At one of my friend's house, UniFi drilled through four walls to bring the fibre from outside to this living room. What a mess.

Good luck on your install tomorrow.

No one said the blame solely on the heavy downloader. I know I didn't say it.

But the word "illegal" already explained it all. Deny it as much as you want, tho.

Look , you can't compare Internet here and say in Australia. In Australia , I was paying $59.99 (Aussie dollars) for 24Mbps/1Mbps Telstra ADSL2+ 50GB of quota. Everything is counted , by middle of the month , I am capped - 64Kbps . Internet is still cheaper here , compare to say Australia.

You must understand Malaysia is a developing country , putting a cap is going to hurt a lot of people. However there must be some sort of control or measure needed to prevent people from abusing the Internet.

Having said that all , Australia has a lot of regional content servers , so meaning that traffic flows within the country , and not much out of the country. However its still counted towards your usage !

On the other hand,

Keep the topic clean. I'll be going through the entire thread later on , I might issue suspension

I've already discussed this volume quota model in the other thread few days back. It's flawed and actually an excuse by greedy ISPs to oversell more. The very scarcity of bandwidth was thought by ISP themselves to create more value in their earnings but they expect their customers to budge.

While Australia is one of the pioneers who adopted this charging model, many ISPs in US have started distancing themselves from this idea especially liberated middle size ones such as Sonic.net(Google Trial ISP).

The ISPs are the very ones who know who much their capacity can fit the number of users to handle. If users can't tolerate the slowness anymore, then it's time to stop intake and reconsider upgrading.

Added on December 16, 2011, 4:14 pm{EDIT}
To be exact, the very first isp in Australia with this volume quota model was Telstra.

You know what happened to their expat CEO Solomon Trujillo the last time? After being blamed for losing $25billion in value, this person just fled Australia with his entire family.

wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Solomon_Trujillo

Australia today still remains as a very capitalist and greedy country.

There's something very weird, I had a look application online for unifi, now there's an extra option to whether if I want to keep my phone line or not. I am staying in a condo. Does this mean I get to keep my phone number when I convert my tm homeline/streamyx to unifi?

Suddenly the wifi of my router rosak, all the comp cannot detect the network. I can connect using network cable but it is troublesome because my comp is located very far from the router.

Any possible cause other than faulty router? It happened all of the sudden btw.

Restart also not work?
Try restart first. If you still can't detect, greatest possibility really kaput d. Else, you try set the Channel manually, default is "Auto". Set it from channel to channel see if you can detect it (This only work if there's another wifi in range on the same channel yet stronger signal that interfered your wifi network).

He mean possible to subscribe to BIZ, not upgrade. This is different here.
If i'm not wrong, someone correct me if i'm wrong... Upgrading to BIZ is prohibited. If you wanted to upgrade, you need to terminate first, which means you need to bear the termination cost(within 2 years contract period) and RESUBSCRIBE to BIZ. Else, you can't upgrade.

... I might get another unit of wr1043nd soon (it's in the office, collecting dust) so that I can tweak rizvanrp's settings a bit and see if they work on it.

Rizvanrp or me can unbrick those devices if you wish to send them over, or, you can try find an 4-pin rs232 cable to USB (wiring it yourself is also possible, but you'll have to make a PCB or at least, have a breadboard).
It would be good if same configuration can work on TL-WR1043ND drool.gif at least the Failsafe mode is working on the 1043 when i brick it several times previously tongue.gif

One of the 941 brick unit is already with Riz, no hurry, thanks!
I guess the RS232 serial console rescue effort is really out of my capability ..... sweat.gif
